Hello people, I've been looking at this site for a long time, but have just got my own PC at home, so have joined up.

My question is... how many fog lights did KITT really have? (seems to vary to me), although I know there are different versions of him.

:D LOL Ozza

More specifically:

Six fog lights covered with bumper grills in Season 1
Four fog lights covered with bumper grills in Season 2
Four fog lights with no bumper grills for the third and fourth seasons.

Actually, isn't the KITT facing directly at the camera (aka the one in the center, far back) KARR? I think I can see a gray/silver bottom to it.

WAY cool!

If I were there, you'd better keep me away from the cars or I'd get drool all over them!

There is also a JYD KITT in there, next to KARR. All white.

The KITT from JYD = Junk Yard Dog. When he gets repaired, you see him in his bare white coat. There's one in the pic.

Aww, geese how pretty they all look together! Look at them glistening in the warm rays of the sun!
When I saw the post called "definition of heaven" I immediately knew there was a picture of lots of Kitts! I just knew. :D

If I stare at this picture any longer, I'll have to clean the drool off the keyboard. So many preeettty KITTs...(And of course, KARR.)

One thing I realized is that I admire the amount of work and skill required for people to make those cars into replicas. Since the sum of my automotive knowledge is 'turn key=car go now', it amazes me that people can actually do things like that to regular cars, and have them look so nice.

I agree. It is a great deal of work doing up any car. I'm not even building a replica, but trying to keep up and restore a nice Pontiac 6000 (which is nearly a classic). It takes not just a lot of physical effort, but time and especially money. It's a very expensive hobby to work with classic cars and replicas. And for me, my car is all I have and can afford to drive.

I've admired replica builders for their determination, skill and attention to detail. Even some of these cars actually talk and recognize voice commands! It's amazing what they are doing these days. I think it's inspiring the new wave of "smart cars" that auto industries are starting to build and work on.

I just wish and hope some day I can see a KITT replica in real life, maybe sit inside and get to talk to KITT. :)
