DAYUMMM I heard Pontiac Trans AM's are huge GAS GUZZLERS
I hope this isn't true espcially with the crazy ass gas prices going at $2.79 REGULAR in New York where I live at
I heard this Gas Guzzler talk from somebody who has a 1990 KITT replica that he is trying to sell that this is true (I hope its a rumor)
Anyway am wondering is this true or not

As my Grandpa once told me, you don't buy cars like these for their fuel efficiency.
14 mpg per load of gas, stop fukking kidding me
Dayumm then driving a KITT would be money suicide in these High Gas Price days
Wow if what u said "Army F Body" is true then that is such a huge turn-off for my dream of getting a KITT turnkey
I probably have to look for another car now....that sukks

Dude, I hope you can post with some respect. This is a board that refrains from that type of language. You can use ** or just use a replacement word such as "Freakin" But even though you misspelled the word, it has the same sound/meaning. Just giving you a heads up. No hard feelings here. Just don't want to get you banned.

Always use super-unleaded.
But Mike I don't understand it, u would think that with all those stunts KITT did and how much Michael Knight drove the car so much on the show, that it would be fuel efficent in not wasting a lot of gas
Or u would think the producers of KnightRider would find a good car that saves alot of gas for the show......shyt at least a 6 cylinder 40mpg type of car
A 14 to 20 mpg per gas stop is just pathethic....a jalopy probably saves more gas then a trans-am
Dam I don't even think I want a KITT anymore now because of the gas drama

No Problem. This board needs more New Yorkers. So don't be a stranger.

damn guys, i'm glad i got the firebird i have. a 2001. V6, i get 30 on the highway and 25 in town. plus i've also made it get more air to, the more air you can cram into it, the more power AND gas mileage you get.

I hope you kept that car. I know the 83 T/A (305 crossfire, 3-speed auto) and 83 Camaro SC (HO 305, 3-speed auto) I had years ago sucked on gas (10 mpg or below).Michael Pajaro wrote:I was getting over 20 mpg with a 1988 5-speed V8 Firebird. My mileage sucks because it's older and has been sitting a while. I just but a CAI system into mine that should throw some more air down her gullet and improve milage. I think I got close to 18 mpg city when I first got her in 97.
If you plan on owning a KITT I would recomend a daily driver. These cars were never meant as daily drivers new. I have a little Civic I drive. My neighbor just bought his wife an 03 Vette as a daily driver and she keeps telling me how much she wants a little car like mine to for daily driving. I can never understand these people that claim they would drive a KITT every day. I think a few months of that and they would change their minds.
