You know you're addicted to Knight Rider when...

You go on eBay and buy the Knight 2000 Voice Car 20 years later, that you once had as a child but was thrown out by your mother because the doors came off! GUILTY

When you smuggle drugs across the border and you have it all in a warehouse in California. And, while you are bagging up all the coke to ship to N.Y. you always keep an eye out for a guy in a Black Trans AM. (innocent until proven guilty) Just Kidding!

Here's one that happened to me today:

- whenever you see someone with a black 3rd Gen Trans Am you tell him all about what he can find on the internet about Knight Rider and his car, where to find Knight Rider parts for it, and your own web site as well, and then give him your email. :)

I spotted a great '82 T/A in excellent shape (no rust even!) and the owner said it has 300,000 miles on it! So in essence, I parked next to KITT (of sorts) today. :) He was quite interested in parts for the car that was Knight Rider stuff and he liked my banner that said Knight Cruiser. :)

You know you're addicted to Knight Rider when:

-your box set of DVD's are on layaway at WalMart and they are about to expire so you beg everyone you know to contribute $1 until you can take them off. Worse yet, people pay you the $1 each to SHUT YOU up.

(I had to do just that so I wouldn't have to pay $9 more next time -YEP I HAVE MY DVD's NOW)

Yes, I started watching back when it first came on. I watched all 4 seasons, and I STILL want that car. Yes, I do have an extensive clippings collection of Hasselhoff (some even in GREEK!)

I'm an addict. I admit it.

I still have my original car. All through my teen years I kept it with me and even in my early 20's I kept it with me. I have it with me right now sitting next to my bed. One thing NOBODY was allowed to touch was that car.

Now I had to replace Michael, as the original one I accidently broke his head off  by seeing how far it could twist when I was 13. I still have the headless Michael (and his head) but just couldn't get him back together no matter what glue I used.

At one point I was going to 'pass the torch' and give MY VOICE CAR to my teen daughter as she fell in love with the show and wanted the car really bad (just like mommy did!) but I managed to find one WITHOUT doors at a thrift store for $1.00! At the time I was supposed to pass mine on, I couldn't find it as it was in a box in my storage space (we moved alot) so I asked her if she wanted the doorless one and she said yes.

I managed to find an auction on ebay weeks later for the voice car parts as the body was damaged. I gave her the doors, tuned up her voice part and now she has a working car just like Mommy! AND I GOT TO KEEP MINE!!!!! *hugs voice KITT*

I've still got parts for 2 more now, just need good bodies for them.

Hi. I go by 'Fuzzie Dice'. I'm a Knight Rider addict.

(I actually hope to get the car fixed up with that kind of stuff. ;) )

YOU KNOW YOU'RE ADDICTED TO KNIGHT RIDER...

-If you have to choose between two cars: a brand new Ferrari or a rapidly deterorating 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, it's the Trans Am all the way.

- You wish that your car could respond after you talk to it.

-Are severely disappointed that the remote starter you just bought can't make the car drive itself.

-You buy a calculator watch and replace the keys with a speaker/mic.

-David Hasselhoff and William Daniels both have restraining orders out on you.

-Your car insurance bills are insanely high because have totaled more then one rapidly disentigrating Trans-Am trying to imitate the stunts on Knight Rider.

-You refuse to accept a job offer unless you get a new face, identity, and car.

Hi, I'm new here, but I couldn't resist adding my two cents to this thread :D

You know you're KR addicted when...

- you live in a country where Trans Ams are rarer than hen's teeth so while you are driving to work every sports car with fold down headlights gets brain morphed into a make believe Trans Am

- every black car on the road makes you look twice

- when you pull into the gas station to fill up your car and find an actual BLACK TRANS AM (probably the first one you've seen in your life) parked in the car park not 20 feet away, you stand stunned with a goofy look on your face, almost forget to fill up your car and walk past BLACK TRANS AM on the way to the checkout and nearly into a wall.

- you recognise the fact that the car is actually a Trans Am, not by the Pontiac sign on the back, but by staring at the left front wheel and fender and matching it with one of those many wheel shots from the show.

- instead of taking the straight main roads home from work everyday, you take the windy back streets just so you can steer around corners and curves

- having grown up all your life in a country that drives on the left side of the road, you find it suddenly seems strange.

- driving immediately after watching an episode becomes a health hazard

- both read and write KR fanfic

- reread KR fanfic

- reread KR fanfic again

- have a choice between unread Stargate fanfic or many-time-read-before KR fanfic...and you reread the KR fanfic

- reread KR fanfic again

- watch KR eps in languages you don't understand

- have over 150 DVDs in your total collection, yet always revert back to the 30 odd episodes of KR you have watched over and over and over and over....

- watch so many KR episodes while painting a painting that when it is finished, framed and hung on the wall, 10 years later you can still look at each part of the painting and recall which ep you were watching at the time.

- spend a good half hour writing a list of things that point to the fact you are KR addicted and have to force yourself to stop before it turns into an essay.

What can I say? I can't help myself :D

I'm having a problem keeping my voice down...
Because I'm laughing so hard!!
Everything listed here so far describes me to a "T".
The only problem I have in life is trying to remember my wife's name.
Is it Bonnie?
April?
Stevie?

Nope, I've got it...Melissa.
(Actually, it is Melissa)
