the transformers box sets recently have had some good extras which i'd like to see included if any kr ones ever made the light of day. in particular, original scripts, treatments etc., to be able to see how they developed over the production of even just a couple of the episodes.
one director's commentary sounds like wishful thinking, but maybe, just maybe, one by glen and/or david for KOTP? it is the most important episode with it being the pilot, and if they were approached for just that one, do you think they'd do it? do you think they might do more? i wouldn't say glen would as he was basically in an advisory position from hearts of stone onwards. just a thought though.
maybe a lil' quick interview with glen (or preferably, a longer one but we're trying to keep it real here) about how he conceived of the show?

Well, Richie gave some great ideas for extras. I like them.
As for mine, I would like:
Original tv ads
Commentaries on some of David's fave eps (maybe White Bird, MOTS,his view on the actual episode and the lack of him and KITT, Pilot, KOTD, commenting on what it's like having Mcpherson back again).
If they did it for Friends and Simpsons, I'd hope Hasselhoff could find the time to spare his thoughts on those.
Outtake footage(well, it was on the bloopers dvd, why not here?)
bloopers themselves (same thing again)
.
That's about it really, apart from the featurettes what Richie mentioned which'd be cool.
Not into photo galleries too much. I get bored of those easily.
Oh, and since these count as extras, why not throw in animated menu's too.
I'm sure some nice and interesting ones could be chalked up for the boxsets.
Dolby 5.1 would be an added bonus but not essential as I don't think it'd enhance the source too much anyway.
Ah, just thought of another...a multi camera angle option on some of the stunts that the car did. Sort of like on the 'fast and furious' dvd where the car jumped and rolled.
Would be great to get a first hand look from the stunt driver's POV, even though I bet he wasn't wearing a camera.

I third the bloopers and behnd the scenes! *Thumbs up*
I don't own any DVDs of shows so I don't really know what kinds of extras they usually add... I agree with the addition of original commercials and promos, that'd really touch on the nostalgia of the series (even though I wouldn't be capable of feeling that nostalgia as I wasn't even born when it first aired lol I'm just keepin' an eye out for mah fellow fans, I got yo' backs! )... commentaries and interviews and photo galleries and all that good stuff... and... I dunno if this is too much to ask, but a magic 8 ball-like thing with KITT would really tickle me

I agree with you all
This is my first post and I cannot wait until the DVD, I have been waiting so long for it. I would like to see behind the scenes, cast interviews, as well as bloopers. As well as teasers and uncut episodes.

What I would really like to see in the DVD-boxset:
1. Bloopers
2. Original "making of/behind the scenes"-documentaries
3. Interviews of the cast and crew
4. A commentary for Knight of the Phoenix (or for more eps)
I really liked what they did with "V" -the miniseries, where you got to see what Marc Singer and other crew was like in the 80's when they shooted the whole thing. This was done by including original "interview/making of document" for the DVD.
Those old documents are real gems for fans as they are hard to find nowadays. It really doesn't matter how messy/VHS-like the material is like because the content is still very interesting and unique. Very few have seen them.
For me these new and fancy DVD-menus/quiz/dd 5.1/KITT's dashboard/draw and color KITT -features are not important at all. Skip them and find real content instead. Thank you.
It's also really fun to see how things have changed when time has passed, so why not show this old 80's material to Hasselhoff and Larson (include the whole crew here ) and they can comment it for the DVD. This is also one good way to make them remember how it was like back in the good old days of KR...
