How KITT got back down in "A Good Knights Work"

I am still puzzled as to how KITT actually got back down from the room in that high rise appartment/office block that he turbo boosted into?
You'd have thought the producers could have explained that one!

Maybe he used that "reverse turbo boost" function.

However, I think the concensus around here is he was lifted down by a crane or something.

or maybe still had space to back up. and then get a running start and turbo boost on the other side of that car parking lot.

Somebody counteracted the parachute the last time this came up, I just can't remember who or how. It wasn't moi. I think I brought up the parachute a couple of times.

It would probably take a couple hundred feet of free-fall before a parachute could deploy fully. KITT would hit the ground before the ropes of the 'chute finished unravelling.

I wonder if KITT would sustain a signifianct amount of impact damage if he were to just back out, sans Michael of course, and let gravity take over?

Just when was that parachutte option added? I think they mentioned it being a recent addition in Goliath Returns. But, did it stay?

For all we know, KITT winched himself down. (I don't believe there ever was any official data on how long either of KITT's winch cables were.)

I suppose just driving out is a very unique option. But, KITT's fear of flight would probably keep that from happening. (KITT does mention the likelyhood of surviving the drive off that cliff in another episode. Though, I don't think he meant as in "totally undamaged". Just "survive" the impact.)

Which all comes full circle to that deal where Bonnie hated all the things that April did to her lifetime achievement. (AKA: KITT) And, probably ripped everything out...remaking what few things she liked.

i would say the most logical option would be he turbo boosted back onto the parking garage. if anything, the builfing he landed on top of was large enough he had some room to turbo boost back off.

He landed in an apartment, it wasn't large enough to get a good running start before he found a large hole and a large drop to the street....

KITT falling from a 4th-floor apartment would be similar to him landing after a turbo boost; I don't think he'd be damaged. (as long as he landed on his wheels on not just plopped down on his rear bumper.) The biggest problem would be clearing the sidewalk below: "Excuse me 'mam, but I don't think you want to stand there. A talking car might fall on your head."

To make it more of a controlled landing, I think they would have just brought a small crane in. KITT would have complained about the indignity of it all.

Yeah like for instants in the S2 ep, Speed Demons, April adds a 4x4 mode for Kitt, High-Traction Dropdowns. But, in S4 in Hills Of Fire Bonnie has to add a 4x4 mode for Kitt to get over that dirt hill and they were Traction Spikes.

So either April took them out after the mission or when Bonnie was back they were still there and she took them out.

Maybe KITT found some way to turn around in the apartment, then turbo boosted out the window, on to the cleared street below.

Clearing the steet would be easy. I am sure the police would no trouble.

I'm sure Devon could arange a helicopter. I know I sound like mad, but with the right stuff, KITT could just drive on a ramp and fly, even though he is afraid of flying.

#1, KITT landed on the roof. i saw nowhere he landed IN the apartment building. #2, there wasnt much space between the parking garage and the apartment building so not much of a turbo boost was needed to clear it. of course the helicopter and crane ideas are perfectly logical, im sure he wouldve preffered a turbo boost so he could get down so much faster.

If so, I think you need to watch it again, because the whole concept is that he landed IN the apartment building. He thundered through Cameron Zachary's apartment after jumping off the top of another building.

they got the semi up to the other top of the building and then kitt backed up just far enoug to winch then turbo boost himself to the semi that sounds right
