Fun things to do in the new kr game MAY CONTAIN APOILERS

Post by Knight Racer » Fri Nov 15, 2002 2:13 pm

I've found a few things for those of us who have beaten the game.If anyone else knows of any cool things to do list them here.

1.In camera obscura 2 you can try jumping from the broken part of the bridge. Its right after the scene where kitt and Michael talk about where the huge shed has the correct video footage and to get back because a malicious virus is eating away at the film.To the left of the shed we see the broken bridge.I try using spm mode to maybe drive fast enought to just float on through to the other side.Hey,it worked by the underwater level to go through the electrical areas instead of turbo boosting over th gaps.

2.Turbo boosting over the semi using the dash view or others.I like the dash view cause it makes me feel like i'm Michael Knight driving kitt, even though we are driving kitt kind of like auto cruise.I know were kitt cause if we were playing Michael then we would see his hands on the steering wheel. Also I think it says in the game description that we play as kitt the sential computer.

3.Try to turbo boost into the semi when you play as karr.Simaler to when karr turbo'd through the semi trieing to get the replacement parts for his alpha capacitors.

4.Try beeting karr in original sin part 2 using spm mode and try to get the distance to as high as you can.I got it up to 900 once.I have managed to control spm mode very well. All you have to do is keep the "s" button down to remain in spm mode and keep the pinky finger on "ctrl" for the brake.use the brakes to make those turns.Try to play around with it.It should help control kitt by alot.

5.Try beating the missions in mission mode with a high score, beating the one you have from the campaign mode. But use a different name to tell the difference.I used Michael for campaign and kittt for mission mode.

I do have a few questions for people who are reading this post.

1.The pics I saw so far show kitt and karr very shiney but my 3d card is 64mb,how many does it need to make kitt shiney?

2.What happens after kitt beats karr?I have the game but I think its missing it for some reason.

Knight Racer, what kind of video card do you have? I have a GeForce 2 GTS with 64 MB and KITT looks shiny on my computer. You should choose 'super'(at least that's what's it called in the Dutch version) for detail in the video options menu.

edit: I read Sonicfreak's post. Maybe it's just the T&L hardware that the Geforce cards have.

Michael tells KARR to release Bonnie and he sets her free without resisting or anything. KITT tells KARR that he is the best model since he beat him in the race. KARR then tells KITT that he doesn't look at the big part of the picture which was to delay them in the track and not win and leaves. Michael checks that Bonnie is ok. Bonnie then tells M&K to follow KARR. And then the next mission starts.

Try to stick to your friend so that he gives you his old G3 card and you won't be jealous for long.

Ghost Rider LSOV, you're right. You need a T&L graphics card to see the reflection on KITT. GeForce 2 cards and higher have hardware Texturing & Lightning.

Does the TURBO BOOST SOUND Effects sound identical to the one on the show?

Ah, so it *is* the T&L stuff that makes the reflections.( I wasn't 100% certain)
Thanks for making that part clear Sonicfreak!
A question though, which other cards have the T&L support? (I am a geforce series fan, so I haven't researched on the others)

Yeah Tyrell, the Turbo boost sound effect is the same with the series.
You hear the button being pressed and then the TB sound.

I know the ATI Radeon has T&L. Maybe some other cards have T&L as well, but I can't think of any other cards right now.

Nope, at least I haven't been able to. Bonnie says that while in SPM some functions won't work.
It would make for nice screenshots!

I think we discussed this a long long time ago like maybe 2 boards ago.We said the faster kitt went the farther the turbo boost would make a distance. But theres one problem. The gravity would push us way down fro extra speed like the corvette,in spm mode however since were rocketing through the streetswe would be flieing through each level in one spm mode+turbo boost.
