Post by Old Man Miles » Mon Sep 08, 2003 8:28 pm

HI! Now i'm fifteen and i do want a car that i can make into a KITT but i need a car! Then ill get the parts and stuff. But i need a car! My parents will not let me buy a car online without their knowledge! Crap! But if you have photos or know of a place that sells trans ams that look like KITT (just the body, not the color,scanner,ect...) kindly tell me! THX!

P.S. I need a car!

The best you can really do is look at the newspapers in your area, and the classifieds. You can also look for the cars online, just don't try to buy them, and then present them.

See, one of the major problems is the fact that there are people from all over the world on this board, and when you get down to where you live, what we may know, and what you can find locally may be two drastically different things.

"Old Man Miles" I feel for ya buddy. I am looking for one as well. I am just going to save up and wait until what I really want comes along.

P.S. Just to warn you, there is a profanity officer on the loose on the board and that person may find the word "CRAP" objectional and if they do they will tell you not to say the word again. Once again I just wanted to let you know this so you can becareful of the words you use.

Hey, Victory Red, no need to mock this person in every single thread. In fact, I would appreciate it if you felt the need to flame someone, at least please keep it in the thread that it started in, because now you aren't helping anything by whinning in every post about it. Your just adding to it, and not making yourself look any better.

It's funny that the two people whom have posted the most on trying to find a donor car, (old man miles and dumbledore) are both under the legal age to drive a car. getting a good early start I see.

Man, if you guys think buying a body for a KITT replica is expensive, try a General Lee!

Thank god KR didn't do to the 82 T/A what 'dem Duke boys did for the 68(?) Charger.

At least 3rd gen T/As are still plentifull!

Ebay is the best source for Trans Am's and Knight Rider parts. Ebay.com tends to have more then Ebay.co.uk, but then if you've been looking then you will know that lol

You mean Pontiac?

Don't I wish I had a local delear to meet my third gen T/A needs.

Pontiac told me last year that they officially no longer offer parts for my 92 'cause it's been over 10 years since the car was produced.

Bummer man!

I don't have a local Pontiac dealership.
Probably better off for it. They don't offer much of the parts anymore for the third gens. Couldn't even get an AIC valve from them, thank god for Pep Boys :) ! Just stick to the internet or like was mentioned earlier in the post Ebay!

Ebay rules. The only bad thing about ebay is when you get outbid at the last possible minute. That bites. I was winning a fuse box cover for my 92 and was literally out bid at the last nanosecond by some dude. It went from like 10 bucks to 50 in that time frame. Oh well!
