Trans am headlight problems.

Post by ScottyMan82 » Sun Sep 07, 2014 12:50 pm

Has anybody had problems with their Trans Am headlights? Mine stopped opening up. Every light still works but the headlight stopped popping up. At first they did but I had to manually close them by turning the motors around. Now they just won't work. Any ideas?

What generation Trans Am is it? I have yet to acquire my own Trans Am/Firebird but from what I understand, this is a pretty common problem with the pop-up headlights. A quick Google search turned this up, which may help or at least point you in the right direction. Good luck!

That won't work for his 82. Do you hear the motor still running, but the lights just don't pop up? I so you need this

If not message the owner of the site, his name is Lon very friendly guy and always willing to help. Any other questions that are more car related would be best asked at thirdgen.org. You can do a search there and likely find what your problem is.

Depending on your year, it could be your headlight motor control module. Mounted on your firewall I believe.
