Favorite lines?

Post by Micaela Knight » Sat Feb 16, 2013 11:51 am

I'd have to say that KR is easily one of the funniest shows I've seen. The dialogue between Michael and KITT was priceless. What are some of your favorite lines, spoken by either Michael or KITT? I've got a couple in my signature, and another one is, "You know, you're about as much fun as a divorce, which is not a bad idea!" and KITT's reply, "I want custody of ME!"
I wouldn't touch that one with a ten-foot drive shaft!

"dead of knight"
kitt-"if you dont mind arnold, would you please take both dumbbells off my hood!"
arnold="hey, theres only one dumbbell on your hood!"
kitt-"now theres only one dumbbell on my hood and would you kindly take it off!"

also same episode where kitt tries to keep micheal awake by telling jokes
"i pulled into a gas station where the service was so slow by the time theyd filled me up,my upholstry was out of style"
always makes me chuckle
michael;i've got a problem.
devon;my dear boy, dont be so modest, you have a wide range of problems.

The one that I always remember is from the episode, 'The Rotten Apples'. I think it's just brilliant:

Michael: Where does Old Canyon Road go?
KITT: Were I to hazard a guess, I'd say into an old canyon.

Always brings a smile. :)

I like on the episode Knight strike when the senile old man and kitt got into an argument. Kitt: I did not hit you. Old man:you hit me. Kitt:hit you my CPU. Kitt:Michael that man is lying. Then I like the episode knights of the fast lane...when Michael challenge a race. Kitt:Michael sometimes you really know how to hurt a Guy that car isn't fit to shine my bumper.

When Michael first finds out Kitt can talk Kitt says something and Michael yells "what the hell was that" and slams on the brakes

When Michael kicks in the door of the radio station and says "why dont you play crumbling down, or isnt the timing right"
Booonnnnnzzzzaaaaaiii!!!!!!!! As michael turbo boosts to score the extra point. His face is so funny when he yells this and when he hits turbo boost his eyes get huge and he flies back into the seat

Knight of the Chameleon had some great lines:

Man: Are you a talking car?
KITT: No, I'm a tight end for the Chicago Bears.

LOL!

Also,
Michael: And keep...
KITT: ...your scanner peeled. I know.

Not actually a line (where, they weren't words), but Devon's reaction in Halloween Knight when Michael put a plastic spider or something on his shoulder. :)

A cute one from Fright Knight:

Michael: What's with the darkened windows, pal?
KITT: This is Hollywood, Michael. I'm wearing my sunglasses.

Yep, everyone seems to love that one, Dave.

From White Bird:

Stevie: Not only does he talk, he has a sense of humor!
Michael: I wouldn't go that far.
KITT: I beg your pardon?!

Michael: No.

I love all the ones that everyone has posted! I've got loads of favourites but these are the only ones I can think of right now:
Knight of The Phoenix
The part when he is arguing with KITT and their are a group of women watching him and Michael looks up and says "Hi ladies" in an embarrassed sort of way ;)

An episode in season 4 (can't remember which one)
KITT sees an *cough* overweight female jogger who is already struggling even though she hasn't been going for very long. She explains that she is trying to impress men. KITT the sees her again later and she is still going. He says something like "And who says there are no such things as miracles?"
"One man can make a difference"

Michael's fave saying to KITT

Post by blackcatpenny1970 » Tue Apr 02, 2013 6:01 pm

my favourite line that Michael Knight tends to say to Kitt a lot is either cover me Kitt or come and get me Kitt

One of my favorite lines was in Topaz Connection.I cracked up when Kitt was detecting some strange vibrations in the casino.Kitt asked Michael about them and he said it was the armed bandits (slot machines).Kitt asked shall we pursue them and Michael yelled back no!.

I also liked the scene in short notice when Kitt told Michael if he forced to stay in another impound lot again he would file a complaint against him.

 Yes, Michael always seems to forget that KITT doesn't understand slang or figures of speech. He takes everything literally... which is part of what makes their interactions so dang hilarious.

More generally, most of the humor in KR is about the interaction between, on the one hand, a machine that is as intelligent as a human but doesn't feel or understand anything but the literal use of language; and on the other, a man who is just about as wonderfully human and complicated as you can get.

One of KITT's best lines, from Return to Cadiz:

I'm not programmed to react to a girl's smile. You, on the other hand, are programmed to react to nothing else!

So true! LOL!

Haha  I remember that one! Very funny :D

I just remember another funny one from KITT. The episode might have been Trust Doesn't Rust.
Michael: "Keep your scanners peeled KITT!"
*Gets out of KITT and looks around*
Michael: "Keep your scanners peeled."
KITT: "You don't have to tell me twice!"
:kitt2:

K.I.T.T.: Michael, what should I do in the meantime?
Michael: You are on vacation pal, get some sun.
Pop's the sunroof
LOL
K.I.T.T.: On the contrary, instead of being a problem ridden prototype, I am the new and improved model. :kitt:
I am the voice of the Knight Industries Two Thousand Micro Processor, K I T T for easy reference, K.I.T.T. if you prefer.
