It's a 1982 with 72k miles. It runs beautifully. It's the 305 HP model. Currently white. One small dent, along with the usual tiny dings here and there on such an old car. The interior is pretty darn good, all the buttons still work. Radio still works, AC runs colder than my 2006 scion. I only have a few pictures right now, but I should have some more by the weekend. I've got several classic dealers in the area interested, but I wanted to post here as well in case one of you wanted it.
I'm looking for about $6k for it from the dealers, but I'll go to $5k for a knightrider fan. I paid $3500 for it, but with the cost of getting it here to socal, and the work I've put into it, 5k seems pretty fair to me. (I've done my research, I know it's worth more than I paid for it.) I won't really be making money on this, just what I've put into it. It's got a new battery, we've done some work on the brakes, a new alternator, new hood pistons, and we've done some general tuning up as well. It has two original bowling ball hubcaps (they're pretty cracked up though from the AZ heat) and the original spare tire and inflation canister from 1982. The dashboard housing is cracked up pretty badly, and currently the speedometer and odometer are not functioning. (they stopped working on the way back from AZ because of the 108 degree heat. However, since i bought the car about a month and a half ago, I've got paperwork from the dealership I bought it from with the mileage on it from that date. I didn't put more than 300 miles on it after it stopped working, I only drove it around my area for about a week before I got busy with other stuff. 72 is a high estimate since it stopped at 71 and some change.)
Power seats still work, power doors still work, power windows still work. The window trim rubber is old and cracked and will need to be replaced. The interior is extremely clean.
I'm really not interested in shipping this anywhere or any transaction where I won't deal with you face to face. I know it's a long shot to find someone in southern ca who's interested, but I still thought it was worth a shot.
I'm not trying to dupe anyone. I've listed every fault I can think of. I don't want anyone buying this without knowing exactly what they are getting. I've bought a lemon in my time and it's not fun and I refuse to do that to anyone else.
If you have any other questions please let me know. The car is a very nice white, it's just dusty in the pictures.
