Hey guys- I've been out of the loop for a while. I just moved to Las Vegas a few months ago and just got back on track. Big news- I just installed my Carbon fiber KR hood!! Big question- I'm ready to install my scanner, and I'm curious, where I can cut the underside to get it in without causing structural damage, and how do you mount the lexan lens?

I have a clear 3M bra on the car ( to protect it from chips ) it wraps around the fenders

hte masking tape is to protect the paint from placing the hood on the car.

Bullitt- Dude!! That looks awesome!! I've always loved the Highland Green Bullitt Mustang, but it looks even better with the Alcoas (I envy that, I can't find them.) I can't wait to see the hood painted.

Finally stopped to get a picture of my progress. New hood, test fitting the scanner. Now, I need wheels, rear bumper and (maybe) a paintjob and spoiler.

Thanks guys!
The scanner came from a guy named 1999transamws6 on youtube. The fascia came from Parts.com, their prices were pretty good. Right now, the biggest headache is my scanner lenses. I made 2 (out of 5 attempts) that fit properly, but screwed them up when I painted them with lens tint. So now begins the hunt for smoked plexiglass.

Does this 1999transamws6 sell more scanners? And are the shelby parts cheaper on parts.com then champion mustang? Nice work dude.

You'd have to contact him to see if he still makes them. He told me mine was probably one of his last a year ago, but things can change. as for the fascia, it seemed cheaper to me (~$1200) but I had the freedom to leave some things out like the fog lights, splitter, and the upper radiator shield since it wasn't a "kit". So now, I can save for a carbon fiber splitter if I want, and the radiator shield wouldn't have worked with my air intake anyway.

I went with a light smoke gray lense. Did you get the Trufiber hood? I have the templates for the lense.

Thanks, but I found some smoked plexi and made new lenses today. They're in, but they're probably not as secure as I'd like. How did you secure them?

Here's how it came out. I like the smoked. It dimmed it down a little too much, but it's not a crazy attention getter.

if I were you, I'd sanded a little bit the back of the lense to give it a more diffused look

I actually did. I don't know why, but it looks like you can see the rows of LEDs. You can't in person. I hit it with 220 grit, 320 grit, and took a shot at it with my Mouse sander. I just didn't use my Dremel like I did on the clear lenses because it left marks all over that lit up.

Do you have a video of your car with the working scanner?
