F.L.A.G. Semi Updated WIP

Post by Tannim31 » Sat Dec 24, 2011 9:04 am

Morning all,
After working on my 1/64 KITT I decided I needed a FLAG Hauler for him and a display. I was in Walmart and saw this...

Image
(This is not the actual semi purchased, i couldn't find it on the walmart site nor did I take a before image)

I took my paint and primers out and did this with it....

There is a place in town that does printed vinyl and heavy paper stickers I am going to, to have the logos and stripes done.

This is a work in progress so what you see is FAR from finished :) and yes the cars fit beautifully inside :)

I think I am gonna go the way of the K.I.S.S. method (Keep It Simple Stupid) and just do logos on the rig and trailer, maybe one center of the drop ramp, not sure yet. Here's what it will look like via photoshop.

Actually you're not that far off on finishing it from what I can see you just need the kitchen area door that goes outward and the golden trim.

OK another project down (And you KNOW I will find something to do or redo or add to it, so it'll never be truly done lol) My version of the Knight Hauler in 1/64 scale.

At some point and time I'm sure I'll add the computer array or pull a "Mattel" and do a fake wall with a sticker of the array inside with a lit interior (hmmmmm) Ok so it's not done yet, back to the printer paint and wiring lol. I'll post another update when that's done :)

If I may be so bold as to suggest the first tinker with the design to place the symbol here would be more accurate to the real thing.

So where can I get the Knight Head emblem in this scale? I used to have a decal shop close by but they went belly up.

Well found my Exacto (At Wal Mart).

I went with the Fed Ex truck as I wanted the white interior and this was a fairly easy conversion. I seen they had more semis that where black with Rockers but the Nascar semis looks better with the smaller wheels and toolboxes.

Anyway on with the pics...

KITT fits nicely in his new home but this is the Kenner version. He will have a lot of friends coming ;)
