Devon said it was coincidental that Long was driving a TA. KITT was a different one. No idea what they did with Long's. They probably left it where it was since it was said that Wilton just swapped the body over.

Victor Kros said that the creator of the show said it was intended to be that Long's trans am was in the desert and this one was just a different trans am.Both the same year and model but the paint job's different.People on this board have mixed opinions as to which they would like to believe it was his trans am or if it was a different one.I personally like the idea that it was Long's trans am.

I would have like to have think they were smart enough to leave Longs Trans Am there with the stolen body from the morgue for easy identification.

Hey Guys

Did they not say anything in the first novel from Larson Hill, the first Knight Rider Book

I always thought that Long's T/A was left with the replacement body. That only makes sense to me. KI2T is another modified T/A, second to Karr. Wilton knew people knew Long personally and seen when him and Tanya Walker had left the (casino I think) that night. He had to have two key elements to have Long officially dead: A similar body (with ID) and the vehicle he was last seen in (his own T/A). There couldn't have been another way to connect Long with the other body. That may be just my opinion, though....

When Devon said that any resemblance between that car and your own is purely superficial,I took it to mean that the cars interior parts have all ben changed.New door locks, engine, dashboard user interface, tires and any enginerring advancements the Knight Foundation technicians were able to develop.
