Wow man. That looks great! What hood is that? It looks different from my Trufiber one. Where'd you get the scanner?

Thanks guys.
The hood came from Ebay and I believe it's called the "Venom" hood.
As far as the scanner goes, it was made by an online buddy of mine.....he really did a Hell of a job with it! :good:

Can you post up more pics of the hood by chance? I'd love to see the underside to see how you're going to mount the scanner. I've had a helluva time with mine due to the hood contours.

I would if I could but it's in the body shop an hour away.

Great work!!!

Would i be correct in thinking your orb has a plasma ball inside it??? if so how did you get it to react so well to Vals words???

Sorry for the interrogation lol i am currently working on my fourth incarnation of the orb and really like the effect you have gained here!

Nope...not a plasma ball at all. (tried that first...didn't like it)
It's one of those pocket clip on plasma things that you see a lot of kids wearing to/at dance clubs (it's actually a flat piece).....the reason that it reacts so well is that it's sound activated.
My buddy incorporated it along with some custom LED work as well as a rounded candy mold for the lense & brought it all together.

Ok for those interested.....
I talked to my buddy that did the orb for my car and he's willing to make more to sell to the general public.
What you'd be getting is the chrome plated plate (NOT the actually Mustang Dash plate), complete with screens, all electronics, custom battery box as well as the dome....all complete and ready for mounting.
All you'd have to supply on your end is a couple of toggle switches and of course...a car. :D
He's working up a price as we speak so as soon as he gets me a total, I'll post it up.

In the mean time, here's a couple pics of the battery box:

The scrobing LEDs run on 2 "AA" batteries and the plasma runs from a 9 volt.....each is controled by it's own toggle.

Wow, looks awesome man! I'm very intrigued to know what kind of hood that is though. It's different than my Trufiber Venom... Got any pics of the scanner?
What are the next plans?

Thanks dude, glad you like!!

As far as the hood goes, this is where I got it:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-07-08 ... .m20.l1116

I really don't know that much about it other than I paid, they shipped.
Scanner wise, it's not installed yet....I'm hoping for that as well as the blue neons to be done by Friday.

Ok so I just got the scanner mounted and let me tell you, IT WAS A PAIN IN THE ASS!!!

As tamatt27 mentioned, with the curve of the hood vs. a straight one piece scanner, it got a little iffy as to whether it would fit or not....
BUT,
With the way that the scanner was built, there was just enough (and I mean JUST ENOUGH) flex for me to get it in there....all and all, I'm totally happy with it.
You can check out a short video here:

Correct.
Cost wise, it was right around $200.00 for the full emblem set.

One more small detail finished......I figured that they'd give the inside of the car a nice custom look.

I made the floor mats.....for the most part.

I priced a set of custom ones on Ebay and the crazy lady wanted $227.00 for the set. I already had the mats so I took a scan of the logo to a local embroidery shop along with the mats...the nice/sane lady told me that the mats were to thick to work with so I opted for having her make a set of patches for me for what I thought was a reasonable price (compared with the first quote anyway)
I brought them home, traced out the shape on my mats, cut out the carpet in that section with an exacto blade and then contact cemented the patches in place as an inlay.
