I think Cal State was used as Stanford in KR 08.
Did that shot start as a wider shot and then push in? Maybe there were other clues.
Sue, you are right. The scene began with a wider shot and the bay in the background.
There is also a church on the left of the following scene.
Image

Google "San Francisco church" with images leads to:
St Ignatius Church
650 Parker Ave
San Francisco, CA 94118-4267

This in turn reveals the name of the university:
University of San Francisco
2130 Fulton Street
San Francisco, CA 94117

Image

I also found out the university scene in KR was shot on Twin Peaks!

Just realize I have a photo matching another scene in the beginning of the episode.
It's a shot from the top entrance of the famous 'Lombard Street'. In addition,
I also went to the Coit tower in this scene. It was a wonderful SF+KR tour!

Here's another from "Brother's Keeper" - Eric Fenton's Marine Yacht Sales...this was filmed at Burton Chase Park in Marina del Rey, CA (as was Lisa's photoshoot and attempted abduction):

Actually...this location is one block away from where KITT was stolen by the car thieves in the Pilot!

Nice work! Aren't Google image searches so frustrating. I feel like I must have looked at pages of images under the term San Francisco University and couldn't spot that tower. Hidesite is 20 20 now though :P

Notice the M&M Hardwood building in the background of the second picture above? Here it is today:

And the warehouse where the stolen cars were stored? Torn down:

Joe

Over a year later, and I've found the location where Michael breaks into Suzanne Weston's warehouse and then captures Carrie on the motorcycle. If only Michael knew how close he was to the real location of the hidden cars!!

These scenes all take place on Chandler Blvd/Vineland Ave and Blakeslee Ave in North Hollywood:

Entering warehouse:

where KITT hid until Michael called him (buildings now torn down):

Carrie riding the motorcycle, and later, KITT coming to stop Carrie:

Michael coming out of the warehouse, running down a small alley between buildings and catching Carrie:

Another one scratched off the list!

Well, I found Rita's apartment building from "Goliath", but it looks nothing like it did back in 1983.

You can see in the screenshots below that the building is the Casino Center Apartments, phone number 384-3134, and the address number is 414:

Well, the name of the apartment building and the phone number are still the same, but here's what it looks like today:

414 South 1st St
Las Vegas, NV

Another one....from "A Knight in Shining Armor"...the location where Stone picks up Katherine.

This is another one of those situations where the real location is mentioned in the episode...

Stone says he'll pick Katherine up at "Aberdeen and Vermont"...located in Los Angeles!

These two locations on the Pacific Coast Highway were posted back in page 10:

I've always dreamed of driving on the pacific coast highway (SR-1) since I watched KR a long time ago.
Here are photos of my trips back in June.

Cool find! I wonder if this is the same location or area from Just My Bill when KITT, Michael and Maggie chases the bad guy from the congress hall parking lot to the area which looks like it's under a bridge like this. Some other episode had similar place too in a chase scene but don't remember it right now. This kind of location was also used in Street Hawk episode.

Exactly what I was thinking! I will have to go back to "Just My Bill" and check it out!

Joe, looking at the Santa Fe Ave pics, the new KR08 also filmed much of Knight in the City in that area. I found most of those locations (including where KI3T does a sideways turbo boost) in the Filming Locations Thread viewtopic.php?f=1047&t=12358&start=25#p179967

I hope the KR08 crew had some idea of the fact that they were filming on the same streets at TOS.
Bring Knight Rider back for Season 2!!

Last night I found John's apartment from "KITT vs KARR":

Intersection of Ocean Ave and 12th St, Seal Beach, CA:

Unfortunately, John's apartment has been torn down and a new building is being constructed:

Image

but check out this comparison...ironically, in 1984, a Camaro is parked across the street. In Google Streetview, there's a Firebird!

Image
Image

See the building in the background of this shot?
Image

It's still there today:
