By the way, one of those postings in the other thread that Sue listed is about the Halfway House Cafe, where Journey to the End of the Knight (ep. 2) was filmed.
Here's a clip from the show: Here's a pic from googlemaps:

I didn't want to go crazy cause I still really want to see Mike's pics. I still can't believe he rode a bike up there.FLAGCEO wrote: Sue, I didn't know you and SHADO made it out to Newcombs! You should have taken a picture by the tree on the far right side of the parking area, where KI3T was parked.

Re: Filming location: The Bridge
I was watching Knight in Shining Armor and noticed that in the shot of KITT driving into the doors, you can see what looks like a red-and-white control tower off to the right side. If you look at the google pics, including one from the streetview on the highway, it's the top hangar.Charlie Brown wrote:I believe the bottom hangar is the one they use. It is much closer to the street so it'd be easier to access.
The one exception might be the long distance shot they used in "Knight to King's Pawn" (when Billy, Zoe, and Mike were trying to break back into the abandoned SSC through a secret entrance). To get such a vast space of field, they'd have to have used the top hangar. The bottom hangar is surrounded on 2 1/2 sides by commercial and industrial zones. The top hangar, if viewed from the Northwest, has a 3/4 mile span of field before you'd see a road.
I mentioned this a few months ago about the hangars being in Tustin/Irvine, CA. If you scrolled down on the Google Map, you'd see The District Shopping Center.
So remember: every time you see Michael and KITT dashing out of the SSC, they're driving towards Costco.
Now, reviewing Knight to King's Pawn, when Mike, Billy and Zoe are breaking back into the SSC, that's obviously done with a greenscreen. It's a REALLy wide shot and there's only ONE hangar there, and it has no little red-and-white control tower in front. Looks like more MKVX handywork!

Re: Filming location: SSC, the hangar
I was going through every show, getting the screenshots of the Hangar views, (haven't finished yet though) and the Hangar with the Tower is definitely the one used for the in/out shots (that's the top one).FLAGCEO wrote:I was watching Knight in Shining Armor and noticed that in the shot of KITT driving into the doors, you can see what looks like a red-and-white control tower off to the right side. I'm still looking for a view of the "abandoned SSC" on the real hangar images. I figure they took a shot of the back of one of the hangars (where you can't see the other and/or the tower) and you see the hazy mountain range in the background.
Re: Filming location: The Bridge

Elmar collected a good list of locations from the Back door pilot and mentioned Piru. Here's his list copied from the aformentioned thread.

Re: Filming location: The Bridge
Sue thanks for pasting the locations from the pilot in this thread.
There's one location I'm looking for - the ending of Knight of the Hunter, which was supposedly the "Federal Reserve Bank of Phoenix" - by the way, Phoenix does NOT have a Federal Reserve Bank. The Fed. Reserve Bank of San Francisco services Arizona.
Here are two screenshots, one of the building's fascade, and it should be noted that there is a 2-3 level garage to the left of the building when looking at it from this angle. The second one is a shot of KI3T coming into the parking lot, and the building number is visible (circled in red) - 28515. Any ideas? I've been looking around the Santa Clarita area since KR08 did a lot of filming in that area, but came up empty handed so far.

Sue, I think you found it! The google maps and Bing photos are of the building still under construction, but I found this picture in the page you gave the linked to: Any chance you or somone else can take some pics of the building? How'd you find it anyway?Sue wrote:Looks like thats 28515 Westinghouse Place, Santa Clarita. A building owned by Advanced Bionics.

Re: Filming location: The Bridge
Sue, didn't you get that exclusive quickie interview with GST on the set of what was supposed to be Episode 17 (Exit Light, Enter Knight - the bank robbery episode)? What was the location of the bank?

Re: Filming location: The Bridge
Sue, never mind. I found it.
The "bank" where they filmed Exit Light Enter Knight (filmed as Ep. 117 but aired as Ep. 13) is located at the corner of W. 5th Street and S. Boylston Street, Los Angeles, just over the 110. Google maps doesn't have street view of the exact corner, but this Bing Maps ariel/bird's eye view shows the park where Mike gets coffee, the bank building, and I've marked a few other places where items (like the 1st police car to arrive) were placed.
Sue, since I'm assuming you were there to catch all that behind the scenes footage, is that the correct location?

Oh, Sorry I missed this thread. Your map is correct. The bank was filmed at LA Center Studios.
