It could work its worked well for Buffy, Angel and Battlestar.
KR Season 5 could be fun (Though it might take more than 22 issuses to equal a proper season of 22 Episodes), as could a linking series bringing all the diffrent versions together.

I would for sure buy it and make sure to get it regularly.
season 5 of KI2T is a good Idea, but it would much better to use the comic to fill in the gaps.
I really think it would be great if we can have the comics tell us what happened to KI2T and MK, jow did we reach to the point of creating and then releasing KI3T.
That would attract alot of readers, specialy me
