Thanks tobie! I used a whoooooole lot of pics found on the internet. both of the 1983 trans am and kitt. For the nose i am using a photo reference of KARR because by being silver, i can see it better. There are a lot of INCORRECT replicas outthere with super long noses!! I hate that... lol

Right now im on vacation, so im not working in it since im out of the country. be back soon to continue it. Thanks!!!

Sorry tobie, i forgot to mention. I found a picture of the side of the car of a firebird formula taken from far away which i use for blueprint. The front and back, I just used the other pic references until i got something that felt right.!!

Very nice work claudio! I can see why your demo reel won an award. Very good storytelling and timing using the technology at your disposal.

I too use After Effects, Maya, Premiere, etc. Awesome programs and while I've always wanted to do cars and whatnot, I tend to use it more for logos and lightsaber props, swords, etc.

You can check out my work here: http://www.valaryc.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or my art gallery here: http://www.valaryc.deviantart.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've done mostly Star Wars and Knight Rider but I have original stuff too.

Keep up the good work on K.I.T.T.!

well 007, i have sooo many unfinished projects! I guess with this one, Im very inspired and motivated because of the theme. Just so you know.... The first panels were done a year ago, and sat "collecting cyberdust" in my pc for long before I pick it up. I want to do an animation with it. Also... make it part of my portfolio. It is a slow process because of the level of detail vs the free time i have to work on it. Light up candles for me so i can finish it. lol

Well.... a few posts back somebody asked me to do the hood scoop. So i did, I also did the center console where the radio will go, the shift know, and i am still tweaking the hard-as-hell dashboard, since its shape is not 100% yet. also refinished the doors (outside) and door handle. Also added the two tv's

Now...... I want to do the older style dashboard:( :dash: ) I dont like the newer one: ( :dash4: ) But i still want to do the Super Pursuit mode. Those two dont mix in the world on KR, but i guess It will be my own spin to it.

Always hated the convertible version, and hated the way it appeared out of nowwhere, so that version is not on my plans

I added some color (if you can call black and white color) to get an idea of what the final renders will look like. I like what i see!!! :D
Sorry about the watermark on them. I have to protect my stuff. Once finish I can do some wallpapers for you guys if you want without them. for now....
let me know what you think!!!!!

Well.... i once again had to tweak the dashboard to make the door's interior fit with it. WHAT A PAIN.. hahhaa. anyhow, I finished the door and steeringwheel. I also made a radio based on a very crappy pic i found online . It might not be as accurate as the original, but it looks good and feels up the space! :D enjoy!

Well.... I use Mental Ray which is a plugin in Maya. I am still in the learning process, and I saw a video about global illumination from a company called Gnomon Workshops . I used something called Final gather coupled with an HDR image i found for free online which porvides the illumination. Now.... its just a simple render with no tweaking. If you google final gather tutorials for mental ray, youll find some.

in the mean time, i just finished the headlight casings. enjoy!
