I'm just the messenger here, I have no control over any of the specific details of the VIP party. I feel like I'm not getting the whole story with your situation here though. Nothing that has changed should have affected your attendance.

Yes - the hotel Golden Nugget was added but the guests at the Four Queens are still welcomed to the party.

Yes - they weren't clear about the number of the people allowed into the party, but it was stated from the start that it was for car owners and people who have helped the festival as a thanks to them first and foremost - anything additional would require special situations.

This event is completely free to the public (friday and saturday) and to think that you could get four people in one room into something that they are trying to keep exclusive (the VIP party) is a little naive. Alot of people are putting their time and money to keep this a free event, and all they're asking in return is to help some children in need. But ya know, no one is forcing you to even do that - you can attend on Friday and Saturday and just not goto the VIP party. There still will be plenty of chances to see amazing replicas, excellent music, famous people from Knight Rider and generally have a great time.

Feel free to PM me if you wish to discuss this further, I feel like this is a misunderstanding we can work rectify.

Hey everyone! I switched my hotel to the Golden Nugget (VIP party here I come), but I called them today and asked if they recommended a shuttle service.

GN recommends Bell Transportation - they have shuttle rides from McCarran to downtown for 8 bucks a person. Not bad!

Look forward to meeting you all, some of you for the first time in 15 years!

Any chance the festival could travel to New York if it's succesfull? Perfect was for NBC to promote Season 2 with a Knight Rider Con :)....if there is a season 2

Sigh, I REALLY want to be able to get out there to document this for you guys in Hi-Def. I'm ordering a new Camcorder too that does GREAT night shots...which most camcorders have trouble doing without allot of distortion effects.

But the problem is trying to find someone willing to go out there with me.
Also, is Vegas still considered a family friendly place, or has it gotten slutty again? I don't think I could convince anyone to go if we have to be dodging Prostitutes on the streets, or watch where we step. Eww...

Thanks
Neil (Still hoping this convention will come to New York one day)

I never have been to Vegas myself but I have heard that downtown has been cleaned up around Fremont street now but the area you want to avoid is between the strip and downtown as long as you stay in the middle of one or the other your fine :). Funny thing is where I'm from I have to beat people off with a stick if you even mention the possibility of prostitutes :).

Has David Hasslehoff cancelled?

Post by Realm » Tue Mar 10, 2009 11:34 pm

Just wondering if David Hasslehoff has cancelled his appearance? I noticed he is not pictured nor mentioned at the Knight Festival web site.

Thanks!

I really don't see the reasoning that The knightfoundation is so worried about security. Even with the Secrete Service "bad things" happen but that's just a risk you take wherever you are. There will be too many fans for anybody to think the can "get away" with anything and if I see it I will def make sure I do whatever I can to get a name and photo of anyone destroying KR property. Also when the Mayor of Vegas is going to be there I'd say that a good amount of police protection will be there :). They also have too many undisclosed sources telling them all this information and is just too flaky of a statement.

Sounds to me he just has a beef with Paul and thinks this will be a good way to settle it.

Attacking the Companion is just another reason I think he is just trying to ruffle feathers.

David Hasslehoff will decide if he's coming not anybody else :)

check out doggett's reply; he explains things with truth.

Dave Doggett's reply has since been deleted. Typical really. I'm not surprised they did this, Bo is just grasping at straws and giving excuses. This should be a great event and I'm glad to be a part of it and help out with what I've been able to.

I want to caution people here.

Knight Rider Online is officially supporting the Knight Rider Festival. We are promoting the event and doing a lot of other work for it. That being said, this is an open forum and if people had concerns about the festival I think it's OK to express them. However, I think we are all MUCH BETTER OFF if we try to focus on the POSITIVE. In other words, we shouldn't try to make the festival look good by making other people look bad.

Yes, if there are concerns they should be addressed. Maturely, constructively. This is a benefit for a children's charity. CHILDREN. Do we want to surround it with an environment of accusations, anger and defensiveness? Or one of optimism and excitement?

If anybody missed it group events are being coordinated here for people staying longer than the weekend in Las Vegas. 21st-26th

The cheap events we plan on doing is the Hoover Damn Tour, Las Vegas Speedway Tour/Visit, Shelby Motors Tour, The Imperial Palace auto Collection (must have tickets which can be printed free here---> http://autocollections.com/index.cfm?ac ... e&tab=free" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) and other various shows but not really set as these tickets are pricey and most people are being more thrifty in Vegas this year.

Now for the thrill seekers....

There is a very long Zip line that runs across Bootleg Canyon about 45 min. from Las Vegas but it's a tad pricey but cheaper than a helicopter tour and more thrilling :) 150.00 per person weather will also be a factor as I would not want to do this if the temp is not at least 65F

http://www.bootlegcanyonflightlines.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I would like to try this but finances are holding me back as of now but I am working as much OT as I can :).

Just let me know if anybody is interested I will have a rental car but no room :). It would be cool to have as many replicas round out the festival with a great Vegas experience :).

CAR OWNERS

Post by tigersharka » Fri Mar 13, 2009 6:53 pm

To all of the registered Car Owners. I have sent an email to your email address. It has all info for you. i.e. times, locations, registration, security, VIP, Cruise and event.

If you did not receive my email, send me one. I will respond ASAP.

paul@knightriderfestival.com

Note: There is no registration for general public. If you are registered at the host hotels (Four Queens & Golden Nugget) do not worry. I will have a confirmed hotel registration list from each hotel. This will be your official registration for the VIP party. If you are not registered at these hotels or canceled I will know. You will be admitted to the VIP Party after the Official Press Conference on 1st Street & Fremont Street, just outside the Golden Nugget.
Dress is night club casual...not jeans or tshirts. Remeber, you will be photographed.

Many special guests are attending.

Have a safe trip....and 'Welcome to Las Vegas'

Lets Party with KITT!

Will there be anything special for those of us with the KRO badges? Perhaps a special recognition or something?

No, having a badge doesn't really get you anything special sadly, but we might have somethings to give out to people who give to the charity.

Nothing except my undying appreciation and thanks! And maybe a totally platonic hug - upon request.
