An Update from Gary Scott Thompson

Post by neps » Mon Mar 09, 2009 12:22 am

Hey,

So like many of you this is rumors of cancellation is driving me nutz. One person gets an anonymous tip and all of a sudden that's fact. We decided to ask the source for clarification. And while Angela Bromstad is out of reach, Gary fortunately isn't.

He said that they at the show have received no official word and the cast has NOT been released. He stressed that the renewal chances probably hinge on international support, as the series is starting to air internationally. In addition they've sent over a KI3T to go to Spain for promotion.

This information might be different from what NBC is doing, but the team behind the show has no word. It's evident that there is more at play here than ratings, and Knight Rider's fan base, plus international support will be huge.

It's important that the international fans write in too! http://knightrideronline.com/knight_rid ... /campaign/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Fingers crossed.

Hopefully we can get something official to put into the news thread of Knight Rider Online? I think Yahoo! and Google would be able to find it a bit easier then in a thread.

It would be cool to actually see real proof the Knight Rider fiasco

KITT: Michael, your blood alcohol level is far too high to allow you to take the wheel.
MIKE: That’s fine. I don’t wanna drive anyway. I want a burger. Take me to a drive-thru.

:D Hello There Everyone,

You see my point is proven here and thanks to Neps for agreeing with me Nepa about the show not being cancelled at this point in time. The show may still be cancelled at some point in time then again maybe not. Only time will tell here. I have a gut feeling that the show will be back for round two and it will be better then ever.

Now, let us show some optimism here. I want to see more good stuff like this and good karma here. I love it and thanks Neps and keep up the good work here.

:good: Take care and good luck.

That's cool to hear. Hopefully the European KR fans will give NBC enough ammo to keep KR 08.

Interesting that Gary notes International support. The series is just starting to filter through to some areas of Europe. The UK, arguably one of the larger Knight Rider fanbases in Europe has had a decent amount of press news on radio, newspapers and even on some TV talk shows. Yet, we don't have the new series.

For whatever it is worth, I'll be sending a letter to NBC with a hand written cover note about us in the UK.

Good idea mate! :good:

There's tons of fans here, I'd have at least thought we might get to see the pilot shown. That way they could gauge interest for the season.

GST talks out of both sides of his mouth, so why should we take these words as being true?
