KNIGHT plate

Post by dag268 » Thu Feb 12, 2009 2:00 pm

Did anybody else notice KI3T had a KNIGHT plate in the final scene when he drove the mother and child home. I don't know how to do a screen grab.

I got that, loved it.
It's just KNIGHT, no state, isn't it?

I like that KITT changes plates when he drives through other states, just hope he keeps the KNIGHT.

The lighting of the blue hue on the plate in this pic makes the license plate look like it's from North Dakota.

Doesn't Cali plates go with a bland white now??

Anybody know if the current plate means anything. Can't remember exactly what it shows but is 77KR117 or something like that. Just wondering if numbers meant anything
:karr: I shall return and if you thought I was mean before... :karr:

I don't think that the 77KR117 means anything but was a simple number to use added with the KR for Knight Rider. I have noticed that KI3T's license plate only says KNIGHT a lot of the time when he is not on a regular road which would be the case in the SSC or driving away from it.

Don't confuse KR for knight rider. It stands for KNIGHT RESEARCH.

Well, since I've seen Halo being played by Mike and Billy, 117 is the Master Chief's Spartan number. John-117 is his name/number. No idea what 77 is. And KR is Knight Research. That's my guess.

How's this? For those who have the 1/18 model, maybe we can use it for the model.. I know I will! :D >>>

The plates should be kept and used! It just did not make any sense for the producers to use a generic numbered plate that KI3T had in the first few episodes..

Here is a better one without the 150 years markings on the plate... >>>

If KITT's plate was 77KR177 it would actually have made more sense.
You can read K177 as "KITT" no?
As for 77KR117 maybe the first 77 can stand for TT which means Three Thousand?

Or maybe...
77 = "TT" (Three Thousand)
KR = Knight Rider
117 = Season 1's got 17 episodes?
(but actually they got the plate before it's confirmed that Season 1 would have 17 eps)
"If Darth Vader had a KITT bathroom, then he would have ruled the galaxy far far away since a long long time ago..." *LASER!* :good:

I don't get why didn't the director put in a real closeup shot of the plate then speed off.If it hadn't been for hearing about it on the board i never would have known the plate was in this weeks episode.
