Online petition still growing 805 so far

Today alone we have gotten exactly 500 signatures! This is a HUGE jump in the amount of signatures and shows just how good last nights episode was. This brings the total number of signatures to 2023! We still have a long way to go but this shows that the series is getting more support and more people are taking notice of our efforts to save the show! We just can't give up and we have to keep getting the word out.

And to Sue's statements: I see what Tony is saying but I don't think he was targeting anyone specifically on the Staff but I have read a post from Micheal and I believe one from Neil say that they don't believe Tony should send the petition. So Sue we thank you for your support of the petition but I see what Tony is saying because MOST of the Staff have not backed the petition at all.

I agree someone said 20,000 which I think is a little out there but with how the day has went today I think that we can get a lot more than 3000 signatures easily. We need all the support we can get.

P.S. I was looking at some of the archives earlier today and didn't even relize you were still here. Then I looked at your posts and saw why. You hadn't posted on KRO for 2 years until about a week ago haha. O well. Thanks for signing!

Let's hope it keep growing. When I first signed the petition, I read that it needed 20,000 signatures. I was signer 397. I then posted it on the KR myspace, seeing that it has 22,000 friends. Though that's not moving along as well as I thought.

Facebook has a page (which I am a member of) but I suggest 5,000 petition numbers it may sound a lot but we're talking people in the USA (it's a big country) and people in the UK as well (I'm in the UK) but I'll definitely sign the petition

WOOT!!!! I just looked at the petition (yes, I signed it a few weeks ago) and it's at almost 5100!!!!

Tonights episode must have really convinced peopele the show is right on track.
I checked the petition this afternoon it was 65 signatures short of 5000. That neans tonight alone we had over 165 signatures.
I will print what we have so far, and send this to NBC on Friday morning. I am away until then. Lets see how many more we can get in the next 24 hrs.
I will post the the certfied number once I send it.

This doesnt mean stop signing it, we can send an ammended copy if need be.
I hope it works.

Reviews are very good in magazines in the UK here for example - ironic since we don't have it yet - and how about telling them there's a UK and international audience gasping for this show??

Definitely. I think the international angle can't be stressed too much; NBC Universal has been known to be very US-centric (*) and they really need to realize that KR is a global phenomenon. In addition to popularity of KR itself, theres also certain 'Hoff Effect' when it comes to German-speaking regions.

(*) just compare, say, US and international DVD releases. For example, official Nordic version of KR Season 4 DVD wasn't out until YESTERDAY. And yeah, and FIRST season of Airwolf isn't out until next month.

an't believe they are on about scrapping knight rider. i was a great fan of the original and am now a bigger fan of the new series, even though i'm 30 i'm like a kid when it comes on.

my son who is 7, liked the original now can't wait for the next episode of the new series. he loves the way kitt transforms.

i have said to him that it may be stopped. his face was of pure dissapointment.

how the hell can you stop a great program. think of all the sad kids out there (and the adults) who love this program and will not get to see it properly

how about we start a fund to try keep the series going

I wonder if when you send it you should put a note, 5000 and we've only just started. Or something like that to indicate they will be seeing it again.
