has anyone bought from Knightridersite.com?

Post by 99transamgirl » Sat Mar 08, 2008 12:24 pm

I've been doing some research on companies that sell the front bumper. I want the 3/4 season style. it will be a little longer before I can get one but I want to know where I'm going to get it. it seems like most are around $1000 for it. i found knightridersite.com has it for $600 and it looks really good. I saw one site that people have bought from this guy and said it's good. on knight registries people are saying stay away from this company. anyone ever bought anything from this site?

I've never ordered from the site, so I can't comment on its credentials in terms of customer service.

But one thing I want to clear up is that it says their noses are from original Seasons 3-4 molds. The nose displayed on the site is a Season 4 nose. The one and only accurate Seasons 1-3 nose comes from Knight Passions in the Netherlands. It has the slight rounded dip that goes down the middle of the nose and the turn signal blackout indents. Basically it is a Season 3 nose, but would need the indents cut out for a Season 1 or 2 look. The Season 4 nose is more sharpened and fits the contours of the rest of the Trans Am more accurately, in my opinion.

Seasons 1-3 nose:

yeah, it's the season 4 I would be looking to get. i don't want the cutouts on the bumper. i like it nice and smooth.

This is really the guy you should deal with!,he does all the noses with perfection! http://www.wraithinnovations.com/knight.html

I plan on buying the KR1 flat top style from him and he also offers trans am reproduction parts!

thanks, that answers my question on who I will go with. I don't have a lot of money and I certainly don't want to spend it and take the chance of it going down the drain. thanks guys!!!

people id go with ,
Knight passions
wraithinnovations.com
Rob Louisell
Marks custom kits
http://www.adiautotech.com/ ( don collie,,spell)

any one one else and it might not be worth your time or money

Id also go to

http://www.knightfoundation.ne

http://www.knightregistries.com

and get as much info as you can, both sites are great..

oh and the other thing, although some places sell parts fairly cheap, alot of people have trouble fitting the parts etc and or even getting the parts once the money is handed over... so do your homework, might take time ,and cost a bit more than you orginally inteded but its better to do it once and right then stuff it up and have to do it twice with ordering and getting parts..

hope this helps..

CJaguar,

Comments like this are completely out of order, and do not belong here. Furthermore, do not bump old topics for such Machiavellian purposes again, as it will not be tolerated.

You have been warned!!!

WOW, that IS a beautiful car! I ordered my nose from Ken and hope to get it soon. I have the Season 1 nose coming, because that's the car I'm building, but I have done LOTS of research on this and agree he makes the most accurate, best nose available. I've had the Mark's Custom nose and the Louisell, and there is NO comparison. But that's MHO.
Can I ask how you mounted the 3 foglights? That's a great job all around.
