It does look like the hills are lining up correctly in the back of that one.
Sue, it might require your field trip to confirm the location of the beach house. Thanks in advance :)

During the search of "beach house" in The Scent of Roese,
I found Kurt Rolands' 'white house' where they tested the remove-control plane.

It looks like a match good job :good:
It doesn't look like there will be any way in to photograph that one. :P

I think you guys might have found it! Sue - field trip!

Here's another one, from "Knightmares" - in the episode, Michael goes to "Caines" to see where his wallet was purchased. The "Encino Camera" and phone number banner gave this one away - it's still there today!

Location:

Just a piece of trivia. The store, OPTIQUE BOUTIQUE that's visible in the photos from the original series, is where Elvis Presley bought those really cool sunglasses that are so much identified with him. The owner that created those sunglasses died several months ago.

Here is the dam in Knightmares. It would have been cool to drive SHADO around down there. I know they still film car commercials and things there, but they locked the gate to the dam road.
Google Maps - Sepulveda Dam
Image
Image
That ladder isn't part of the dam, it's a little tricky to get over it without it.
Image
Where is that dam ladder!
Image
Obviously this is the side they film commercials on cause it doesn't have any dam graffiti.
Image
Image
Yea she's done with the dam jokes.

Sue, splendid :good: (Devon used to say that)! Especially the last pair of photos, 100% match!
I bet you also tried to find the 'dam door' and it's not there. Here is the dam analysis.

Had the dam door existed, and Michael did open it, he would have fallen into the channel behind the wall!
Until a few hours ago, I still believe the dam door is part of the dam. Sorry to bust this dam mystery 25 years later!
dam_tower.jpg
dam_tower.jpg (53.19 KiB) Viewed 44863 times
In the follow dam photos, you can see the edge of the dam door appeared in the 'after' shot.
The extent of the dam mock-up was also limitted, you can see the edge on the right.
What a 'good' dam job (e.g. the rusty paint) the KR filming crew did back in the 80's.
Today, KR-2008 uses mostly CGI instead of physical sets.

BTW, the 'runoff' pipe where Cara was trapped in was also a mock-up next to the dam tower.

Now, yet another location in "Knightmares".
Approx. address: 10543 Woodbridge St., N Hollywood, CA 91602
Coordinates: 34°8'55.83"N, 118°21'39.28"W

Time code: 15:13
Scene: KITT was chasing Michael in the alley, and made a turbo boost.

Someone revealed this location on:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/shootsean/90996465/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
In the link, you can see a guy hide behind the trash dumpster,
but he did not appear in the KR scene (see the red circle below).
What a opportunity to be present at the location when the filming took place!

Nice work one-man! We sure do some fine dam investigating.
Sadly another dam gate kept me from getting up on the dam tower.

Oooh that's a good one. ...Ah so many locations so little time.

If you guys could paste in the links from google maps like so.

It would help me out a bunch in finding the locations by car.

Here's a diagram about the turboboost in the dam in Knightmares to break the pipe. KITT must've been doing 180 in the air & have very long fly in order to land to where he landed LOL

Here's the best street view shots I could find of the "Knightmares" alley jump:

Sue - if you go, please try to head down the alley that Michael is running and shooting at KITT to get photos of that as well! You may even be able to follow KITT's path back the alley from where he turns onto that street!

Don't even ask me how I spotted this!

From "Merchants of Death" - check out the background of this driving scene - you can spot Barris' shop! The same one he's still in today!

Image

Image

And right next door to "A":

Image

Michael is actually driving on Lankershim Blvd with Riverside Drive (where Barris' shop is located) in the background.

Cool!

It looks like you picked the right one one-man
25036 Malibu Road
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&g ... 9&t=h&z=19
Image
Image
Image
Now I'm thinking this lower structure is the same building, but the roof has been extended over the porch. This is the only house in the area to be so low to the beach. It appears as though the beach has been eroded away since then and they have added these rocks to try to prevent that.
Image
Image
Image
If you look carefully you can see the same white building and triangle shaped roof line.

Nice work team!
SHADO's a little jealous he's not in this one. Though I do have some picts of him on the road above the house. I'll have to watch the scene again and see if they match up.

Next location - the infamous (to me, at least) "horseshoe" building, seen in "Merchants of Death" and "Knight of a Thousand Devils":

"Merchants":
Image

"1000 Devils":
Image

Location is:
17514 Sierra Hwy
Canyon Country, CA

Image

Image
Image

Next is Claudia Torrell's baja car warehouse:

13008 Pierce St.
Pacoima, CA (Part of Whitman Airport, I believe)

Image
Image

The hole where Michael was thrown into in this episode is a place called "Falls Lake" in or near Universal Studios. Can anyone find it? And De Lorca's estate? We already found Becker's estate earlier in this thread.

I think I found another one last night...one of KITT's famous "driving scenes" in the city:

S. Flower St heading towards First St
Los Angeles, CA

Unfortunately, Google Street View doesn't go on that part of South Flower so this is the best I can do:

Here are buildings 1 and 2 from a different angle:

Season 1, Episode: White Bird
Scene: where Stevie worked and got arrested; Michael also went there later in the episode

Address: 4111 W Alameda Ave, Burbank, CA 91505

Cues:
1. a nearby street named 'PASS AVE' (barely legible in the red circle)
2. The building with 'holes' across the street
3. the address 4111 can be seen when Stevie walked out

Just realize part of the following photo matches the rock climbing scene in the episode.
here is a question, was that really David Hasselhoff or some stunt man?

Can anyone find locations from the KARR episodes?
The ally where the KARR stopped for the night "I have no eggs, perhaps you can direct me to a chicken" from TDR, or the clothing shop from KvK?

Also of note, this is nearly the same location as the ending turbo boost in "The Final Verdict"!
