F150

Post by pheonix_knight » Sun Sep 07, 2008 12:04 pm

I've seen the CGI transformations of KI3T becoming the pickup with the scanner but is there actually a real pickup that they use (with the scanner)

we've heard about the "hero car" and "attack kitt" which are actual physical cars but what about "pickup Kitt"???

I guess there must be a physical F150, its being used in the series quite a bit and Im sure it would cost a fortune to do purely in CGI.

Ford has probably given them 1 or 2 F150s for close up work. There not that expensive anyway , pricing starts from $17,000.

Yes there is an actual truck with scanner, we have seen an actual truck in a video where they show how they did the transformation they showed how they first taped the Mustang driving and then the F150, the actual transfortmation was then done in the computer... but they had a pick up with scanner (if I remember correctly).
