Licence Plate on the new car

Post by Ontario Knight » Tue Aug 26, 2008 10:28 am

Hello

I thought this was kinda cheezy but have you seen the new plate on the car, "KR" there was "lots of thought" in that plate. I figured that they could at least bring back KNIGHT in the newer California plate, again the connection with the history. Can this post be sent to the writers of the show to at least think about it... :kitt:

Remember KNIGHT is still used on KI2T so that is why they didn't use it, also because of the return of MK & KI2T later on in the season if it happens like GST said.

Cheesiness in Knight Rider?! No way!

Anyhoo, I believe the KR actually stands for "Knight Research". Also, I think it makes sense for it to be so plain looking assuming it morphs into other license plates as it did in the pilot.

I just figured that the Licence plate was a huge part of the first car and that to carry it over would be nolstalgic...(if that is spelt properly) :kitt2:

It also wasn't a license plate, it was a piece of paper IIRC.

KI3T's license plate morphs,so I don't see why GST won't let KI3T use KITT's KNIGHT license plate somtimes. :D

It could still say KNIGHT. Nobody ever said it had to be a California plate. Or it could say KNIGHT 2 or KNIGHT 3K. Just throwing those out there

I agree however I loved in the original series the view of the plate going off into the distance and the music in the background.... :kittconv:

It's an all-white U.S. Government vehicle plate, so even getting a customized "KR" probably was like pulling teeth from the Department of Transportation.

Oh I hope it stands for Knight Research, because I am going to pull my hair out if they bring the name "Knight Rider" into cannon like they did on TKR.... ugh!

That is what it stands for, GST confirmed that back at Comicon.

if your thinking about the first episode that licence plate was an illinois plate I think and that was when the police officers pulled KITT over with Michael sleeping behind the wheel

There was another episode when Michael and KITT are driving then all of a sudden Michael looks in the mirror and see a police, the he touches a button that says Licenses Plates. :kitt2: :kitt:
