It is a very nice car but Dreamworks has a strangle hold on the rights to it for the next two Transformers movie sequels.

That new model looks like it was designed to have a scanner on the nose... or is it just me? Maybe the new Bumblebee will use that model, since GM has that deal wrapped up. I have to say I really liked the way the new Mustang looked in the NBC pilot, but would like to see something completely original in the re-imagining Larson movie. 8)

NEXT TWO? Are you saying 2 Tranformers sequals are coming out? WOW!

I thought they had the right on the concept, I guess they will get the actual car huh? To bad cuz it comes out early next year and would be nice to use in the new movie!

THAT IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST SUGGESTION FOR A TRUE AND NEW K.I.T.T. TO DATE THAT I HAVE HEARD!!!!

That car look 100 times better than the Mustang.

True Amrican Muscle Car!

Already has an excellent place for a red scanner and a pointed nose!

If Dreamwork's has the rights, then I say, buy 'em out!

or collaborate with Pontiac to maufacture a new generation Firebird/TransAm. The movie potential would boost sales!

- I believe the new 09 Camaro was pointed out as being built in Canada, that makes it technically a foreign car. Pontiac is being downgraded severely by GM and has already stated they have no plans to bring back the Firebird/Trans Am. GM's focus is on the Camaro.

True American Muscle Car???

The last Firebirds/Trans Ams/Formulas and Camaros made in the USA were 1992. The Fourth gens were built in Canada.

That is the modern KITT. Without question.

Besides, I was glad to finally get a "real american muscle car" (that actually IS american) as KITT. I think it was a great choice for an updated Knight Rider. The car's new design has been extremely popular and modern, yet it is an obvious nod to the older, original model; just like the new Knight Rider. Not to mention the raw power and ability of the automobile itself.

 Why not just stick him in a nice Corvette C6-R, a car that actually exists and is not copyrighted by anyone but GM? Have you noticed the 'scanner slot' on it? Have you noticed the scanner slot on a loooot of other concepts? It wasn't built for a scanner, it's just a contemporary design that provides both function (as an air scoop) and fashion.

Geez, you people act as though the Camaro is God's Sunday-driver...

Canada is still part of North America so really it's American. Just people have for years related to only the USA as "America" or American when really it includes 2 other continents. Guess the same could be said for South America ;)

I actually wouldn't want the new KITT as the Camaro just cause of the first Transformers besides the whole deal they have to use'em in the next two movies. KITT should be a "new" car. Some simliar lines and design as the 82 Trans Am version just not that exact one. Kind of what they did with the Banshee design used to make the Dodge Stealth car for Knight Rider 2000.

i still think a pontiac banshee painted black would be a good choice but the bad thing about that its not a production car

Sky Blue 1980 Ford Pinto!

That's right! Make it happen and watch the money roll in and hey by then they resolved that whole rear end collision, gas tank/car bursting into flames issue. <_< >_>

Not sure I like it. The car looks like it's smiling.

I've sort of got used to the Mustang and I think I prefer that.

I always wanted the new Camaro, ever since i saw that air intake shaped to be exactly like the scanner.

I think it needs a little more edge to it, too curvy/smooth. I'm also not very fond of the front of the car, with the two separate intakes.

I hate to bust bubbles, but lets look at some hard facts here
A) GM hates Knight Rider, and can't even keep sales up, so why could they be trusted to support another TV car? Why do you think that they got rid of their best muscle cars and when they DID make a half-baked attempt, they purposely refused to make a firebird T/A?
B) Ford, on the other hand, has jumped in with both feet. They have embraced Knight Rider with every intention of selling a version of KITT right off the assembly line. Plus, the Mustang is the last true muscle car left on the planet with a front engine/rear drive platform (The new GTO dosen't count, not after a 20 year hiatus). Ford also knows that every last Mustang they build now will sell, as a morphed version of the new KITT. ( I would buy a cheap one to say that cuz theres now way on Earth I could possibly afford a GT500KR Mustang in my wildest fantasies!)

Let the Camaro be Bumblebee, and GM can go scratch as far as Knight Rider is concerned.
