NOT IMPRESSED.....

Post by AFTsgt » Tue Feb 05, 2008 10:44 pm

I will give a few episodes but just from the trailers I am not impressed. Especially the Found On Road Dead. I dont forsee this one to be a multi-season. Especially since all the remakes of the other famous series like star trek and battlestar galactica. They all get perverted and I end up blocking it for garbage!

They stated it was a continuation???? Doesnt look like it to me. looks like they are reinventing the wheel.

Good luck to the producers on this one.

No, it is a continuation, it is Michael Knight's son. But I know what you mean, it doesn't look like it is going to be that good. I think they are going to hide the car stunts by overdoing it with camera (computer) tricks. So I think you're right, but I'll watch it, I am willing to give it a chance. The Mustang doesn't bother me, but everything else I've seen thus far does.

Wow, first post, about ten minutes after joining to say this and you're already showing where you "lie". So you also thought not only the Battlestar Galactica remake was garbage but every Star Trek, which weren't remakes, after the original was too? Wow, just wow..... Go find a bridge to live under.

People who get offended over over spilt milk are not deep thinkers.

I am not saying that ALL Star Trek remakes stuck. The one I did like was the Next Generartion At leat I could watch it without changing it because of some adult scene! The first time that happens with any show It is locked out.

anyways good luck to the producers but I believe this will be a one hit wonder as well as a waiste of money.

At this time only the movie is planned. Until ratings are tallied and the writer's strike ends, there won't be a series.

When you use the term "remake" the implication is that the show is not following the continuity of a previous show and doing it's own thing. Another term people use is "reimagining". This applies to nu-Battlestar Galactica. It does not however apply to Star Trek. "The Next Generation" is set 70 years after the original series. DS9 and Voyager follow the years after "Next Generation" and "Enterprise" was a prequel to the original series. They are not "remakes".

The main character, Mike Traceur is the son of Michael Knight. The original KITT will be referenced as well as the Foundation. This is a continuation whether or not you wish to believe it.

Split[sic] milk? Not deep thinkers? Who said I'm offended? I'm sure a lot of deep thought went into your first post.

Funny, because you DID say
Especially since all the remakes of the other famous series like star trek and battlestar galactica.
I think you need to loosen up and get off your moral high horse. WTH is this thing with "adult" scenes? You do know Captain Kirk was the first manslut of space right? He apparently had a thing for the blue aliens, you don't even want to know what he did with the Trebbil he kept. I don't recall any "adult content" in any of the movies, Deep Space Nine or even Voyager. Don't get me started on even Knight Rider while while subtle, always "family friendly" and Michael wasn't a puritan either. >_>

It seems like you're acting as if they're showing hardcore pornography, though maybe the early years of television are more appealing to you where married characters had to be in separate beds, even if the actor and actress were married in real life.
anyways good luck to the producers but I believe this will be a one hit wonder as well as a waiste of money.
Now if someone else here will be a one hit wonder also.

You gotta love all the people who pop up with the negativity. Just reminds me of the Star Trek purists who ranted about the next generation of how it was gonna suck blah,blah,blah..... Gee to me it Looked like that next gen was highly successful . Than they cried oh Gene Rodenberry needs to be in creative control ..well when he was it had subpar ratings, than the studio took creative control away and gave him executive producer role and the show took off. So not every show needs it's original creator to comeback and be successful. And let's not forget the Battle star Galactica fan base that cried that the new incarnation wasn't going to beat Glens well in comparison sorry it did.So here we are with Knight Rider the same old blues with people that aren't opened minded stuck back with 20 year old stories. What a sham that you can't embrace a need for deeper character and story development since it's 2008 and not 1982. I have my gripes also about the new show but until February 17th comes around who says it will fail or be a hit,we just have to wait and see.
