Re: Mistake
I agree that the lame story lines killed KR. You can't count on a cool car to keep a series alive.corlando52 wrote:Personnally, I think that's why KR was cancelled. It started to rely too much on gimmicks. They did the Super-persuit thing and it just got out of hand. I know there are the Season 1/2 dashboard fans, and the Season 3/4 dashboard fans. I happen to be the former. I didn't like when they changed from the LED look to the LCD look. Again, just my opinion. Maybe if they stayed with the original KITT, it wouldn't have been cancelled.
OK, that's just silly, but I'll say anything to make my point. I know it was the bad stories, and repeated stories that did away with KR, but I still say when they changed KITT in KR2000, it wasn't well received, and forget about Team KR....

Here is a guy that wants to see a retro Trans AmJL wrote:I read online at the website for High Performance Pontiac magazine that Pontiac may come out with a Camaro twin after all, though nothing official has been decided. If it does come out, it'll be called "GTO" rather than "Firebird," and may take its design cues from the late 70s Smokey and the Bandit-type Firebird.

First I gotta give credit to the originator of this work. His name is Matt. The only thing that I added was "pop up" headlight lines.
If you look real close Matt even put in retro PMD seats!
Enjoy!

THAT IS K.I.T.T.!!!!!!!!
Now I don't care what they say about the "cars of the Internet not even close" to what K.I.T.T. will be. I SERIOUSLY hope they *reconsider* and PICK THIS ONE! Dayummm that is IT!
THAT is K.I.T.T.!
Seriously this is THE BEST idea I've seen yet.
I love it!
P.S. - Can someone do a K.A.R.R.? Please?
Wow, I love that car!
BTW, the guy that did the Trans Am, he's selling T-Shirts of it via his MySpace so see the original link!
The thing with the car above though is that the scanner looks too grainy. Might need a bit of guassian blur in an image program to blend it better.
Someone should grab this and do a movie poster.

That retro look is based off the new Camaro. I like it (unlike how I dislike the rear of the new Camaro).
I even like the sleek look of the KITT pic mid_knight_rider posted.
Also, as tkr9 said a few pages back, I've seen so much news of a KR movie, I just sit back until more official news pops up.
I will go see it (even if they don't use the original KITT). I have to say some of you are haters--the movie isn't even started production yet.
It saddens me how people here want new KR merchandise, or a film. And when it doesn't come out to EXACTLY how they want it, they completely hate it. Reminds me of the ubber-purist Pontiac fans who claim Pontiac has been dead since 1981 (since GM switched to "corporate engines")

Well, I am a Pontiac fan and I think while I don't like their current offerings, I don't think they been "dead" since 1981. I have a 1987 Pontiac 6000 still running good and is the most *wonderful* car I've ever had been in (let alone own and drive).
I think if they wanted to, Pontiac could still roll a good vehicle off the assembly line. I hope they start thinking more "retro" soon. Or at least less jellybean.

I had to do a poster for this car. As soon as I saw the picture of this new design of KITT I dragged in straight into Photoshop and I made a mock-up poster out of it. I hope you like it and I hope someone in the studios can see this mock-up poster. I made this to further inspire some of the film makers in Hollywood.

So come on
So come on people, is this movie actually happening? I thought it would be out in the cinemas by now. Although when I think about it the whole concept of a KR film seems difficult to grasp.

I think that if we forget all what happened in the series and KR2000 then it could still be good. A remake of the pilot would be pretty good, thats my fav ep. I just love the jump through the truck trailer, thats a classic moment. It would be good if we could relive it with all the modern advantages to make it all more believable and realistic.
