And here is a video of part of the drive. Its not great quality because its using my phone camera but the sound is great and you get some good views of the dash.

Yeah it is the actual registration aussie.kitt bought it off another person who had it and was selling it he got it for a pretty good price too.
I noticed something funny when I was watching an episode the other day Michael was sitting in the passenger seat for some reason and nobody in the drivers seat and KITT's voice modulator said "NORMAL CRUISE" I don't think it was mirrored either.
You can't really mount it anywhere else for it to look right. Its in the middle of the bumper and when its on show it comes off easily and you can't even tell where the mounting holes are.
There's a picture of the back and the number plate there too.

I was wondering about that. If I was building KARR (like I dream to some day), I'd put it as the first two buttons on the top of the pod there. That way all I'd have to do is press one. Or, wire it into the steering column.
Cruise control is easy. Press Auto Cruise.
Wipers? Another button on a pod or something would be cool. Same with headlights. Heck, there's so many buttons, may as well make use of them!

i've herad of all the functions mounted on the switch pods before. horn, indicators, cruise etc.
Sounds like a great idea........but i'm crap with electronics so i guess i'll just leave mine where they are..........for now.
I love the accuracy of this replica though. it really does look great

That's ok I like to put pictures on the forums it gives us something interesting to look at rather than text.Wizster wrote:Just want to say what great pictures you have and thanks for displaying them for us
The thing about the pods is since they are from MCK I bet they cost a fair bit so it might be worth too much to change them to some that you make yourself.
Also his KITT is very accurate the only thing that is different from the show is the RHD aspect but I always overlook that because I can't really feel the difference.
The new piece I am helping build is voice recognition which is going to be a killer thing at car shows.
