Nice photo's!

I found the video kinda strange because of the right side driving thing, so i thought they mirrored it or something, but it is really a right-sided dash... :?

So James, how did it feel to sit in the driver's seat knowing that Hasselhoff has sat there before?

It feels really cool because you know the two main characters have been/are there.

And here is a video of part of the drive. Its not great quality because its using my phone camera but the sound is great and you get some good views of the dash.

Thats a really good replica, you don't get to see it properly in the music video, does look weird in RHD though, but then thats Aussie laws for you.

yeah that's about the best nitpick we can get out of that I actually thought it looked good with that on it KITT's lights were hardly ever up so you mostly want the driving lights to be acurate. Everything else has to be perfect.

Yeah it is the actual registration aussie.kitt bought it off another person who had it and was selling it he got it for a pretty good price too.

I noticed something funny when I was watching an episode the other day Michael was sitting in the passenger seat for some reason and nobody in the drivers seat and KITT's voice modulator said "NORMAL CRUISE" I don't think it was mirrored either.

You can't really mount it anywhere else for it to look right. Its in the middle of the bumper and when its on show it comes off easily and you can't even tell where the mounting holes are.

There's a picture of the back and the number plate there too.

Awesome!! You are so lucky to have experienced this. That is one amazing replica! BTW, do you know (or if aussie.kitt is in here to answer), why did he keep reaching under the buttons every so often? Just curious.

Love that car though. WOW!

The indicator switch is behind the pods. I have a question for owners of replica's what have you done with your indicator/wiper/cruise control switch can you hook that up to the upper console?

ive heard of some guys hooking the lights, the wipers etc to the switch pods and or the upper or lower console, the switch pod would be best as would be quikcer to reach

I was wondering about that. If I was building KARR (like I dream to some day), I'd put it as the first two buttons on the top of the pod there. That way all I'd have to do is press one. Or, wire it into the steering column.

Cruise control is easy. Press Auto Cruise. :)

Wipers? Another button on a pod or something would be cool. Same with headlights. Heck, there's so many buttons, may as well make use of them! :)

The problem with the pod buttons is that they are only Momentary buttons the upper console buttons can stay on that's why I didn't say the rest. I know that one of the buttons on the lower console is for the horn which is a smart idea.

I would change the pod buttons to non-momentary ones. :) In fact, I'd just design my OWN pod, I guess.

i've herad of all the functions mounted on the switch pods before. horn, indicators, cruise etc.

Sounds like a great idea........but i'm crap with electronics so i guess i'll just leave mine where they are..........for now.

I love the accuracy of this replica though. it really does look great

That's ok :) I like to put pictures on the forums it gives us something interesting to look at rather than text.

The thing about the pods is since they are from MCK I bet they cost a fair bit so it might be worth too much to change them to some that you make yourself.

Also his KITT is very accurate the only thing that is different from the show is the RHD aspect but I always overlook that because I can't really feel the difference.

The new piece I am helping build is voice recognition which is going to be a killer thing at car shows.

Hi James.. WOW! This is great! I didn't know that this car was a victorian car.. Is that Geelong where the pics were taken? I'm not far from there myself and would like a photo opportunity also.

Aussie.Kitt, would you like to meet up sometime?? PM me if you like.

Cheers
Adam
