I know it didn't take it off. But it's not showing this week because of it. I just wanted to know when KR would come back after the marathon this week stopped showing. As you said, once January comes it will be gone.

Man, this really is a bummer for all KR fans. At least European fans get more Kight Rider while we in the States get less. I must say, it was good while it lasted.

Actually, it won't really matter to me. I won't have time to watch it cause I'll be busy. Next week when it temporarily comes back, I will only be able to watch it one day. Hope that is the one NOBODY DOES IT BETTER shows on. I saw it this summer, but for some reason would like to see it again. Only way I feel affected by this is it blows my chance of seeing episodes I'd like to see. But they're on so late, I would have to wait a long time when they actually show.

We have different versions. Our Sci-Fi Channel shows different programming than yours. Our Bravo is owned by a completely different company, and shows different programming than yours.

That really sucks that It is getting pulled. My dad just bought a Standalone DVD Recorder and I was going to get all the eps recorded straight off Directv to keep the wonderful digital quality. LOL That's what I get.

I guess I whould be happy with the set of tapes I have. I did have to wait 10 years to record those.

Well even if we have all episodes recorded on tape, chances are, most of them aren't uncut. Its very hard to find a network to air uncut TV show episodes in syndication. I know Knight Rider on Sci-Fi has a good 5 minutes cut from each episode. Well, its been fun, I wonder what the ratings were on Sci-Fi for KR? Lets hope they were good! If so, Sci-Fi may put KR back on the air in January 2005. (has that many already gone by!?) Lets keep our finger's crossed.

Ok, this is not my place to speak as im a brit, but I cannot believe what im reading here!!! You should consider yourselves lucky that Sci-Fi showed Knight Rider in the first place AND showed it for as long as they did!!! The one thing to look out for is the Knight Rider page on the Sci-Fi website.... if that stays then I would say possibly later on in 2004 they MIGHT (hence the might) bring it back.... if it goes...well don’t be so down.... They may just change their mind you stranger things have happened.

Sci-Fi is a bunch of communists. They do nothing for the people and take away what the people want. I hope Sci-Fi goes out of bussiness for taking off Knighht Rider. Im boycotting them starting January 1, 2004. I thought communism ended in the United States. NO! these punks act just like any old commi. Go ahead Sci-Fi. Cancle Knight Rider. See if i care. You just lost 1 viewer and if this whole community bands together you just lost about 2000!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be nice if you knew what a communist was before you started calling an organization such.

com·mu·nism ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kmy-nzm)
n.
A theoretical economic system characterized by the collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members.
Communism
A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people.
The Marxist-Leninist version of Communist doctrine that advocates the overthrow of capitalism by the revolution of the proletariat.

[French communisme, from commun, common, from Old French, from Latin commnis. See commune2.]

communism

\Com"mu*nism\, n. [F. communisme, fr. commun common.] A scheme of equalizing the social conditions of life; specifically, a scheme which contemplates the abolition of inequalities in the possession of property, as by distributing all wealth equally to all, or by holding all wealth in common for the equal use and advantage of all.

Note: At different times, and in different countries, various schemes pertaining to socialism in government and the conditions of domestic life, as well as in the distribution of wealth, have been called communism.

communism

n 1: a form of socialism that abolishes private ownership 2: a political theory favoring collectivism in a classless society

As you can see, sci-fi is privately owned by a corporation, and not by the government, so therefore, they are not communists. They do quite a lot for the people, since they gave us two and a half runs of the show, when they didn't have to put it on at all. They are taking away Knight Rider because they oversaturated the market for the time being, so they take it off, and potentially bring it back, just like they have with the other programming they put on. (including some of the programming that they are replacing a lot of their present programming with.

So if we follow the rather childish cry to boycott, and don't keep up some form of interest, then they will never bring KR back, and well, 2000 people....ain't nothing compared to the millions that they get through such programming as X-Files, Hercules, etc.

So if you choose to cut your own appendages off to spite yourself, go right ahead, but I think it would be in most people's best interests to potentially go over to the sci-fi forum and encourage them to bring it back, rather than throw a poo fit because they are taking it away for what is potentially a less saturated audience base.

Oh, but I guess we are fools, it would be more pertinent to throw a good old fashioned temper tantrum, right?

Oh no, I've been in too many fights about politics here. If we wanna debate politics, lets take it to another thread. But I'm almost tired of debating the subject. Simply because nobody listens. And of course, political disscussions seem to trigger flame wars. (I go to a political forum and believe me, I know) Nice of KI to help with the definition. Thats very accurate. *thumbs up* I'm glad we have a teacher here. :D Okay, lets get back on topic before it gets derailed anymore.

If you really want to do something productive, the absolute best thing you can do is send a written letter to Sci-Fi Channel telling them how much you enjoyed watching Knight Rider while it was on, and you look forward to them bringing it back again.

You may think of TV channels as faceless corporations, but those companies are made up of real people who have good days, and bad days just like you do. They are not going to care if one person, or a dozen, or several hundred people threaten to boycott their channel. But, a polite, friendly letter might just make some low-level intern think "hey, finally, here's a letter from someone not complaining about things they don't know anything about." And then maybe that letter will get passed along and not just thrown in the complaint-of-the-day bin.

That's a much better way to go about things.

MP is on the right track I think folks. People are more apt to respond to you if you're polite than nasty. Though my father firmly believes people are more responsive if you're nasty to them than polite and nice. I can't stand him. I feel just like KARR "My creator, Wilton Knight. He brought me into the world and then turned on me!"
"Hey, hey, hey, take it easy, take it easy. My old man, same way."
