A body Kit for my KITT

Post by Victory Red » Sat Sep 06, 2003 6:46 pm

Here is a picture of a Wide Body Kit that was offered way back in 1984 from a company called Diversified Glass Products. The company has since gone out of business. I found this pic in a Hot Rod Showworld Magazine that had a feature of KITT in it.

As you can see. The modified KITT Nose will still fit this body kit. I think that with a twin Snorkal Hood Scoop, this body kit and a KR nose, I would have a series looking KARR.

Well I looked thorugh my old Performance papers and I found the company that offers this kit.

It was back in 1997 that this catalog that I got is from.

Here is the Company info. I did a complete search and came up with nothing.

I like the wide body kit but never can miss an oportunity to promote the aero body kit from the 91-92 models.

 Check out this Kitt, http://members.cardomain.com/kittx. It features the aero GFXs and a late model WS6 ram-air hood. Our good board buddy Darknight brought this to our attention a while back, and I have been salivating over it ever sense!

Let me know what you think :D .
KITT project is on again!

Currently working on: brand new stock tan interior, almost done!

Well, I am not sure if I am right here but look at the girl in that photo. Wasn't she the one who played in the Gun smuggling epsiode in late season 3 where Michael was at the gun show? Sure looks like her to me.
The name Julie Andrews comes to mind. Not sure if it was her real name or character name or if that is even right at all.

Judy Landers is the woman's real name. That distinctly looks like an edited picture from that Gun Smuggling episode (I have a hard time with it's title) where she played Sheila. She also appeared in the episode Forget Me Not as Micki.

Well, I knew it started with a J. LOL. Close counts.

It really does look like her (or her twin sister) Yes she has a twin sister!
I have seen them on another show together somewhere long ago.

Is it her in that picture? Couldn't tell you. I say yes but you never know.

Yeh, she has a sister, Audrey Landers. (I have way too much of this stuff in my head, I tell ya.) And I absolutely agree with you, it looks just like one of them, I mean, virtually identical. And I think she was even wearing that outfit in that episode, too.

I seriously doubt that a KITT replica nose would fit inside that spoiler. But the question that springs to mind is, why would you bother? It'd spoil a beautiful design! Just look at the Davilex game shots to see how bad it looks. KITT never had a spoiler under the nose "chin", but it would seem that perhaps Universal fitted one at some stage while KITT was on display there. I changed the picture on the main page of this site because I couldn't stand to look at it being so WRONG! :-)

Looks a lot better!

I've never seen Kitt with the front spoiler before so I wonder how Davilex got a hold of one to base their in game model on?

Someone posted a pic of KITT at Universal, and KITT had it on when he was sitting in a backlot. I guess the guys from Davilex went over & checked him out, but got it wrong in the process.
