I am glad to see that MM 4 is going ahead but WTF! I've heard about all the KR/MM comparisons and I don't get it. I even read somewhere that KR was born from the ashes of a failed Road Warrior tv series. Whatever...

but what got me is that this poster said KR copied almost EVERYTHING from MM......I LOVE MM....it's one of my fave movies ever!!!

But I hate it when ppl say stupid things like that without making points with their statements first.....

not that they would be valid....it's almost impossible to make points when saying KR copied almost EVERYTHING!!!!

The ONLY Knight Rider I know of that imitated Mad Max was 2010.

Then again, I say that IF KR 2010 had changed their name to Mad Max: New Generation, they wouldn't have had to make any other changes and it would have totally worked. Well, the MM crowd would have probably complained about it instead of the KR crowd. But, nothing else would have changed...

Honestly. I need more proof on how Knight Rider stole from Mad Max, besides the fact that there was a man who drove a souped up car and fought crime as a former cop. By that term, you could call many sci-fi's as copycats of each other because they delbt with some hero type flying a shace ship and shooting up the bad guys with lasers or westerns because some hero guy(s) used guns to hunt down the enemy bandits/indians and everyone rode horses and/or covered wagons. Romances always imitate each other because they are about a couple trying to get together. Bla, bla, bla.

The only thing I can think of that Knight Rider stole from Mad Max is the name. Remember in the start of the film they're chasing after a guy called The Night Rider. lol. :P

Yes. And Mr. Night Rider gets referenced throughout the rest of the movie.

Made me wonder which came first. KR or MM.

ok, this is a bit off topic, but what is everyone's fave mad max movie?

for me, its the original...great storyline, direction and action. it can suffer from a little bit of boredom but the final 20 mins make up for that.

but the 2nd is a VERY close 2nd with its superb stunts!
