1982 T/A sighting in 'Final Destination II'

=====POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING======

I don't have any screenshots, but one of the survivors of the first accident where they're supposed to die drives a T/A of early 1980s vintage, black, cowl induction hood, turbo-cast rims, bowling ball hubcaps and all... Had the screaming chicken, though, and I couldn't see if it had the PMD seats. Funny how that character had just won the lottery, and yet he hadn't gone out and bought a new car... Perhaps he was a KR fan planning a conversion? Unfortunately, in the first scene of the movie, which I suspect was shot last, the T/A gets decapitated running under a flatbed, and then blown up. The frightening thing is, the gruesome deaths of about seven or ten people in the same scene didn't faze me because I knew it was SFX, but the destruction of the T/A nearly had me storming out of the theatre in tears.
Q: Do I need professional help?
A: Probably not, considering I already have two shrinks, and yet there's been no appreciable raise in my level of sanity as of yet.

That would be an 86 straight V6 Firebird. At most could be an 87. It just happens to have the turbo fin/bowling ball hubs from the 82/83 era on it. You can tell by the interior and the front nose design where the foglight vents are that this is in fact a newer bird. Even has the headliner sagging. Your general firebird. ;)

Its was a regular V6. They stopped making straight 6's in the 70's.

Hey, I was just trying to fill people in on what a straight six was. It was an old Chevy style engine mostly used in Nova's.

Wash that dirty mouth out with soap. Is it my faul you are not fully versed in proper engine mechanics? They asked what a straight 6 was and I answered. No reason to get potty mouthed. Those comments are only good for fertilizer.

Now go and finish our game will ya........ :wink:

OI! Sorry to butt in here boys, but KITT crashing pics! Where can we see some more of 'em, msKEN?
Oh, and straight sixes are still current. In fact, they are inherently better balanced than V6's. Better torque too.
