Knight Rider modelcar pics
As a modelcar hobbyist and Knight Rider hobbyist, thought I'd start a thread about Knight Rider modelcar pics, any scale, any manufacturer, KITT, KARR and whatever cars showed up in Knight Rider episodes
Starting with 1/43 KITT by Hotwheels and recently released 1/43 Mercedes-Benz 350 SL model by Maxichamps. Looks quite close to the Devon's Mercedes but this model if of course the Euro spec version with smaller bumpers and square headlights.

Some of the above images were from a screen used kitt. The last is the Hallmark Kitt I won for the trivia question about knight rider.

Very cool, the screen used KITT model, the ultimate, original Knight Rider modelcar, a peace of TV history
There was plenty of KR merchandise, toys, models, etc. released, so based on that, there should potentially be a lot of pics in this thread after a while
Here's the 1/18 Hotwheels Elite KITT model:

Not sure how accurate they were with the firebird logo and the white lettering on the tires. At least they got the fron headlamps all white.

I liked this remote control model. I heard the front bumper guard was easily removable.

I have two Aoshima 1/24 modelkits about 4th Season KITT with scanner electronics and SPM version but they're unbuilt.
Here's Hotwheels Elite 1/18 KARR:

Here's my original ERTL 1/18 KITT, one of the first pics I took about it. From factory, the most outer "fog lights" are amber so taped them black with electrical tape. Also simulated the turnsignal covers with clear tape.
Later I made bigger mods to it, like cutting the pillars between foglights to make one wide opening per side, like the real KITT has.

Great job on the ertl kitt with the electrical tape and the foglight covers. Looks so much more accurate than what they produced.

Thanks That was back in 2005, later it got bigger changes. Might post a pic later about that.Knight Racer wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 7:59 amGreat job on the ertl kitt with the electrical tape and the foglight covers. Looks so much more accurate than what they produced.
This time some Knight Rider inspired pics, scenes from some episodes imitated with modelcars.
First, scene from Soul Survivor, after the bad guy was ejected from KITT and Randy avoided collision with Michael who drove Elmer's old Studebaker Champion. KITT model is the 1/43 Hotwheels and the 1950 Studebaker Champion is a Lucky Road Signature 1/43 model.
Next, scene from 1st season episode "Forget Me Not". Bad guys have kidnapped the unconcious girl and driving the grey Seville, planning to throw her out to the ocean. Michael is trying to stop them by cutting their way.
KITT is again the 1/43 Hotwheels model and the 2-tone Cadillac Seville is 1/43 NEO scale model car.
Finally, a scene inspired from the Rotten Apples, bigfoot monster truck vs KITT. These are 1/64 models, my KITT is the ordinary Hotwheels release with spoked wheels instead of the smooth one posted earlier in this thread. Bigfoot monster truck is Ford F-250 '74 by Greenlight but I think in the episode, they were Chevy trucks?

Since KIFT was posted already, here's a Hotwheels 1/64 Pontiac Banshee, pretty close to the KIFT even it's not really KIFT.

Very nice model cars. knew the scenes you were going for as soon as I saw the models you used. didn't have to read the descriptions.
I like your banshee. too bad Pontiac didn't allow universal to use it so they ended up souping up a dodge stealth to look similar to it.
I bought this car model because it looked very similar to the movie:
