Anyone else catch battle of the 80's supeecars last night on the History Channel? David and kitt were showing off all the cool cars that were inspired by kitt's technology. Plenty of clips of what kitt could do in the 80's. They also had a race between Dirk Benedict with the A-team van, David driving kitt, and Eric Estrada driving his chips bike.

Anyone know who provided the kitt replica for this 2 hour show? there was 1 for the closeups for the voice modulator which was season 1-2 for kitt to speak. The interior is a season 4 dash with correct modulator. Only problem with the season 3-4 dash looked to me at the start of the show when the dash came to life, the voice modulator was dead.

I just noticed something interesting while watching the end credits to check out who voiced kitt for this show, a special thanks credit was given to Nick Nugent.

is it just me or did the Kitt used here have the wrap around {and incorrect}lower body aero skirts that came and went or were there 2 or more replicas used?

The switching between different dashes was confusing for sure.

Also when Michael Scheffe was showing the supposed early sketches for the dashboard, it was the season 3/4 dashboard as well, not the original one.

I had recorded this on a dvd to have it.I just looked at a few scenes.when the Hoff goes down the elevater to get Kitt and they drive out of the garage the Kitt used has the correct 82 body and rear bumper.the following scenes driving with the side view the car now suddenly has the incorrect lower body aero skirt going from behind the front wheels back along the lower doors and rockers to the quarter panels and through the rear bumper. my only other observation is hoe different the led scanner used here is compared to the originals which used light bulbs.Strange that when David Hasselhoff was on good marning America promoting this program he was with one of the original 5 remaining Kitts.even the upholstery used was different in color and texture compared to the original.

I think the reason why they swapped between 2 kitt's is because the first one had the season 5 interior but the voice modulator didn't light up as kitt's dash came to life you could see the missing 5 light's on the sides never switched on. the season 1/2 modulator kitt was used for that.

Scheffe should have used the schematics for the car first dashboard he designed which are these:

Not as top secret as he says they are.

Quote from Knight Rider Help/Parts For Sale facebook page:

"Sal Hanna: Time to dispel the rumors. 2 cars were used in this filming and yes we each paid appropriately. As many suspected Jennifer's car was primary, mine was the track car. Check out my post on the https://www.facebook.com/groups/foundationknights/ group for pictures. Don't forget to tune in and watch History Channel tonight!"

Surprised no one else picked that up. Guess everyone knew I meant season 4.
