Elsewhere he said:
"the Knight Rider will ride again..,.[I'm] not supposed to say anything...stay tuned".

He's been saying that for decades. Gunn was interested in setting up something with Netflix with the hoff before he got taken off guardians of the galaxy. No production company would touch him. Hoff went back to pushing for a knight rider movie and that still hasn't happened. Now he's being told to stop saying anything so he's excited about not saying anything. Something you tell a child to make him think he knows a secret when the truth is they just want him to stop saying anything.

I think it's just an empty teaser to get more publicity.
He's aging; people are getting soured by failed ideas.

I agree snafu. He;s been pushing for knight riders return for so many years that if he suddenly stopped saying it, it would appear that he's finally given up. At least this way he gets to bow out gracefully without saying a word about it.

Maybe he would take on Devon's role. Hope he is not much of a no life type of boss the way Devon was. And has some empathy to the new guy/girl he is training. You know despite a lot of work, Michael needed a life despite not existing.

David is much older than Edward was when he took on the role. I think Michael may have matured since he was in the drivers seat to be able to take on the role of head of the Foundation for Law and Government. He certainly looked more responsible in the short scene he had on KR08./Even the story they told a out him having to do his job and be away from his family made him sound that way. His duty and responsibilities.

I think if anything, David will play more the dying mentor roll to pass the torch onto the young lead actor and tell him one man can make a difference as he dies off.
