KNIGHT RIDER AND CADILLAC
If any of you have seen the recent Cadillac Commercial about a guy taking his hands off the Wheel and the car driving itself on the Highway, You know where they got the idea from: KNIGHT RIDER!!!!!!!!!!

Re: KNIGHT RIDER AND CADILLAC
Oh...a 'supervisor'? What's the next upgrade to this going to be? A traffic citation printer inside the dash, just in case you stop watching the road a little too long? Is it going to be judging how much the atmosphere is distracting this 'supervisor', too? I think this partially nullifies the whole point of self driving, to begin with.
Granted, there are a handful of videos out there to prove that the machine isn't as safe and reliable as it was intended to be and that Human override is still quite necessary. But...when I want my car to be driving itself, I don't want to take up the role of 'observer' to a real life version of 'Desert Bus'.
As for the inspiration...I think I see what you mean.
