Vacuforming interior parts

Hey all, its been a while since i was on here (a couple of years in fact) I started a conversion project on an 89 firebird formula...took 30 years but finally lmao!

Anyway, I was a good forum member and searched before asking this but, has anyone or does anyone know anyone who has done Vacuforming interior parts for KITT? I.e. overhead consoles, lower consoles etc. I know that fiberglass is the prefered media for this but if the plastic (abs or pvc) was thick enough, it would just as viable for these parts and honestly MUCH cheaper and quicker to build/modify.

If it has been brought up already and i didn't search hard enough before posting i apologize and any help would be great on this.

Thanks and its good to be back here :D

Semi-related: What about 3D-printing?

Another viable option, the cost might be prohibitive though with 3d printing of something that size, then i'm not up to current on project pricing for 3d printing.
