Tons of KR pics online... but which ones do you have that you haven't seen?
Here are a few...



This was from some teen magazine in the 80's (uh, I was a teen!) and check out the Kitt car... It looks smaller than the actual Kenner car... seems to have something under the front nose / wheels.... no t top bars and a dull finish... and tinted windows (which Kenner did not have)....

I think this was more a publicity shot, because as they said, David learned quick and did much of his own driving after 6 months or so...



The puffy stickers... I had another different set, a helicopter chasing Kitt, etc... the Poster (in card form) that I had as a kid (Michael kneeling by Kitt).... A cut out of the Kenner Kitt car, notice, same stuff under the front wheels... and the nose looks much better than the toy I got... it looks to be the same as the one David is holding in the first pic, but different than the final retail model...
And one of the TV Guide spots for KR... I have a bunch, probably not all, but a lot of these...

I love seeing the Knight Rider ads from other markets. It seems so bizarre to me: Knight Rider should be on channel FOUR, not TWO! I have a complete set from the New York City station.

I have a couple of 2 page wide TV Guide ads... and quite a few others... I'm flying to Seattle tomorrow, so in December or so I'll throw them up...

I read somewhere that almost every episode had kids watching on set. Some even tried to bang up kitt after watching a scene with actors using rubber instruments.

I had this great black and white hi-res picture of Michael and Kitt.... from the first episode... he was wearing a light blue sweater... in the "building' where he found Kitt... Kinda leaning up agsinst kitt, and kitt looked stock... I printed it up, but can't find the file

Anyone seen it online?

I can't understand how a photo could be black and white yet still have him wearing a blue sweater. The only other shot I remember him wearing light blue is the ending from the hospital scene but since you mentioned that he was on kitt where he found him in "that building" this is the only shot I know of. Since this is just some of the footage Glen showed to NBC before the full pilot movie could be approved and filmed, that is the stock trans am.

I knew it was blue cuz I saw that picture...
But that is not the picture I'm looking for.
Shot at the same time, he is on the trunk end of Kitt, actually posing, not looking like he was talking in that photo...
The original I saw was black and white.... I just added blue sweater

Nope... same as the above one, in the Foundation Garage, with Kitt / Blue jacket... but a different pose...
It was taken at the same time as that one... I'm still looking... I can't even find my print out...

I know it's not the one you wanted but since we're on the subject of pics from the pilot, I found this one that looks very rare. Since I know he never really did anything on the passenger side of kitt for this scene, just the driver side this is a promo shot he must have posed for.



I feel like I'm finding buried treasure. Haven't been through my knight of the phoenix folder in years. I never remembered a scene where we got a close clear show of what was under kitt's hood.

Close, but I still think it's a different pose... I'll keep looking...

Nope, lately I've been slacking off on my knight rider collection. I don't think I've watched an episode in maybe a year besides silent knight which was because I found out it was being shown on Tuesdays on a cable channel but since my DVR could only record 2 programs at once on a Tuesday, a show I've watched a dozen times an episode just didn't make the cut.

These 2 were in the recent Pontiac magazine article about Knight Rider.
These 2 shots are of a just finished Kitt exterior back in 1982....
Notice stock dash / steering wheel and how RICH the colors of the interior is, not sun faded...

Common set of photos... but hadn't seen this one... close up of version 1 nose...

Could you imagine if they would have kept that ugly nose from the test footage they showed universal throughout the series over what they went with the pilot.

While looking... I came across this one... I have seen others shot at this time, but not this particular shot.
Which to me is interesting... It resembles the "drawing" of Kitt on many toys and stuff, dark blue background, etc...
I believe this photo was that inspiration...
