I've lived in Los Angeles for almost 20 years, and I have never been to the Sepulveda Dam (from "Knightmares"). I've driven by it probably 100 times (easily) but I have never actually walked over to it. Until today - I finally made it. There's a little more graffiti than there was in the 80s, but I think it's still a special place to all of us.

I brought a DST car with me for the photos.

Very cool Mike! Is the whole area open to the public? For example, could you climb over the dam like Michael did in the episode? It looks pretty open out there and I don't see anyone to stop you.

Might have to add this to my agenda the next time I am out there.

Here's a trivia question for everyone. Besides for knightmares, what other episode featured this dam?

"Redemption of a Champion" watch it on netfilx the other day.

There is a short (quarter mile?) trail that takes you right to the dam. I was surprised how open it was. I did not try to climb up the wall - I was wearing bike shoes, and there was a lot of glass around so I didn't want to try barefoot.

I was hoping just to be able to cross the dam on top. There is a broken fence and "No Trespassing" signs blocking the other road that goes across the dam. It's pretty clear they don't want you up there.

The location itself also look quite impressive, seems the dam is very big structure.

This photo looked almost real, till I saw the tennis shoe prints in the sand next to the car. LOL Overall great shots. I saw that dam from the freeway when I was out there back last October.

SOUTHERN KNIGHTS

I was watching Key and Peele on Comedy Central and they had a preview clip of what's going to be shown for season 3.This scene caught my eye because I've only seen one other dam.The grafitti shown also made me think it might match up with the shot that Michael Pajaro showed with the Diamond Select kitt.

Its funny because the scene shows one of the actors in a skit of what can only be from Miam Vice.



Are all dams exactly alike?The top of the structure looks similar to the shot from Michael's.
