About the which part of the car to get signed
Like most of you I just got my self the 1:18 KITT. I'm going to a comic convention where I will met David and get him to sign my car. Just wondering if any of you got yours signed and which part of the car you get him to signed?
At moment I'm think silver marker on the bonnet. I've seen some other celebrities signed theirs on the bonnet but the problem with KITT is it doesn't have flat surface so can only be signed on half of the bonnet. The roof top that's even out of the question.
If anyone got photos, I'd love to see it.

Personally I would get him to sign the box and just take a photo of him doing that
why ruin the car by having it grafittied
just my opinion.

Thank you for your opinion.MrSmith wrote:Personally I would get him to sign the box and just take a photo of him doing that

I do understand your point, by the last experience I had while got my back to the future car signed is that I wasn't allow to have any photos nor any video taken while Christopher Lloyd signing. And the convention here we had is so lame that I won't be able to prove the item was actually signed by the actor apart from the wrist band from the convention. This is how bad our convention is, I've even wrote to them ask them to print some sticker only for the convention so at least they can stick to it after the signing session.
We need to pay Aus $50 per signature, I think that's quite expensive, so should I just sign the box myself since no way the signature can be proved it's real, lol.
I've actually met him and got him to signed the hotwheels 1:64 car and the Hotwheels retro entertainment K.I.T.T, also taken photo with him. But at the time I've not yet own the elite K.I.T.T, that's why I'm seeking suggestion on which part would be perfect for him to sign.

How about one of the doors? This way the signature shouldn't cover up any important details.
I've seen a few cars with signatures on their front window. Not sure if that would cover up the inside details though...
Just some suggestions
Have a great time at the convention! Keep us posted on how it goes eh?

Thank you, as you mentioned window, I found back window to be a good place to get signed since there isn't much details on the back. So I think maybe I'll get it signed on the back window.Clare82 wrote:How about one of the doors? This way the signature shouldn't cover up any important details.

Many replica owners get the underside of their trunk signed.

Yes I attended the convention on Sunday and below are the items I got signed. Hope all of you like it.
Also include a BTTF car signed by Christopher Lloyd from last year
I don't think I will ever own a replica 1:1 but I will keep that in mind, thank you.Skav wrote:Many replica owners get the underside of their trunk signed.

It's Aus $50 per item signed and those photo come as part of signing (they have ranges for you to choose)but if you got your own item for him to sign then you have to choose between your own item or the photo.Clare82 wrote:Wow! You got a lot of stuff signed!

I didn't get to talk to him as there are people lining behind me but I'm happy as this is the second time I met him within two months period. And I think it's enough for me as I'm surely going to remember this moment for the rest of my life. I think he is more attractive then he filmed the Knight Rider., that's personal opinion of course.
I'm just glad that I have those items in my collection now. Never get tired of looking at it.
Thank you for your suggestion on where to get it signed. Although I didn't take your advice but it certainly make me think twice as I don't know if for the rest of my life I'll ever get the chance to see him again.
