KR Rep for Sale

Post by MTAK » Thu Feb 28, 2013 6:57 pm

Hi all,

Well I am at the stage where i really don't have the time to finish it so I have made the tough choice to sell it.

It's a 2006 Mustang GT Auto with the red leather interior.
I brought the complete GT500 kit from FORD -
Front and rear bumpers, lights, spoiler, splitter, grille, badges etc
The hood is Trufiber
The scanner is from Creative Indulgence and pre-wired but not completed installing the scanner yet. The voice Orb from Joshua and is installed with wires easily assessable under glove box ready to hook up to a car pc which i don't have yet.
I located a set of GT 500 KR side stripes which look great.
I also changed the exhaust to make it sound right ;-)
I brought the 20" wheels new from Shelby late last year and they arrived in December. The wheels are not fitted yet and are still in my living room in the boxes they came in. It's currently sitting on the original GT wheels.

So to finish this project all you need is-
Install the stripes over the top of the car (hood, roof, trunk and bumpers)
Buy a car pc and pretty much plug and play.
Fit the scanner to the hood and plug in the wires (it's already wired so just need connecting)
Buy some tires and fit the Shelby wheels
The whole car was completely resprayed in November 2012, looks awesome!
Lastly, get the seat upholstered to be show accurate (or buy a new set)

This project has had no expense spared so far but it's been sat there a few month now doing nothing. It would make a ideal buy for someone who doesn't want to go through locating parts, installing them.

If i remember anything else, I will add later!

Any questions, please contact me - mark.takhar@gmail.com

Thanks

Hey, Sorry to hear that you decided to not finish the car. Sounds like you have everything except the tires and car pc. I would try to install the tires and rims, this may get more people looking at the car. PM me what you are looking to get for the car. I may know someone.

I'm sorry too but i really don't have the time to complete and it's a lot of money just sat there doing nothing at the moment.
The car has cost me well over $30k to date so i would be looking at sensible offers as it need very little to complete.

If anyone wants to view I am based near Orlando Florida

I went for the JBA system as to me it sounds great. It's deep when ticking over, loud but not unbearable when accelerating and pretty quiet when driving around 60-70 mph on the interstate.

I've heard other systems that are just crazy loud all of the time. Which may suit some people but wasn't for me.

The other option if I am unable to sell it as a KR replica project is that i will take out the ORB, Scanner etc and sell them separately. I will sell the car as a GT500 replica.
I also purchased the 20" Shelby wheels which are still boxed as the came to me. They would be for sale too!

Anyone interested, please feel free to email me.

It looks like i will be stripping it down and selling the parts.

I have the Orb from Joshua but no car pc, the scanner from creative indulgence, and the shelby wheels. All there items are brand new and i'm open to offers.

The Mustang will be sold as a GT500 rep.

Anyone interested, please contact me

Guys i need to get this sold within the next 6 weeks. Any ideas?

Would it be better to take the Knight Rider bits off and sell it as a GT500 (KR) replica.
I can sell the scanner and orb at a later date but need to get the car and wheels (still brand new and in box) sold and out of the way :-(

it may be better to sell it as a GT500 replica, instead of a knight rider clone. If u have the alcoa, i would sell them separately also because u may be able to get 3/4000 for them, if u have the 20x9 and 20x10 set up.

Yes, i have the Alcoa 20x9 & 20x10 set up. They are still sat in my living room boxed.

I think you are probably right and it would sell better as a GT500 replica.

Now comes the task of striping all the wiring out and converting back to normal.

I have the orb from Joshua which i will need to sell, if anyone is interested. Also the scanner from creative indulgence.

Thanks for the advice
