found this interesting. gerald christian was a sound effects guy at universal studios and worked on knight rider.

Gerald J. Christian, who led the sound effects department at Universal Studios, where he worked for 42 years, died Saturday, May 26, died in Burbank, Calif., after a yearlong illness. He was 86.

Christian received an Emmy for film sound editing for Steven Spielberg's "Duel" in 1971. He created and oversaw the sound effects for many other movies, including Spielberg's "Jaws" and Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" and "The Birds." He also worked on TV shows including "Dragnet," "Columbo" and "Knight Rider."
