I have a sneaky feeling they would use the same sounds from the SDCC car into the 1:18 super elite car

we shall see I guess

Most likely around the same time as the 1/18.... My local dealer will be bringing the models in February.. I've already pre-ordered the 1/18 :-)

Knowing Mattel, don't expect the 1:43 model until about the third quarter of 2013.

Knight Rider KITT Hot Wheels Elite 1:43 Scale Vehicle - $65.99 - Coming in February 2013
Knight Rider KITT w/ Voicebox 1:43 Scale Hot Wheels Elite - $340.99 - Coming in February 2014
Knight Rider K.A.R.R. Hot Wheels Elite 1:43 Scale Vehicle - $59.99 - Coming in November 2013
Knight Rider Elite Cult Classic K.A.R.R. Die-Cast Vehicle 1:18 Scale Vehicle - $159.99 - Coming in October 2013

Source: EntertainmentEarth.com
Those dates are most likely to change. These are the same guys that predicted the 1:18 KITT would be ready by November 2012, so do bear in mind its just their estimate. I would have to agree with PBH though, it's Mattle... and wow are they getting a lot of my money next year lol!

The price for that 1/43 KITT with voicebox looks ridiculous... US$340.99 for a 1/43 scale car??? You've got to be kidding... It cost a lot more than the bigger 1/18 KITT?

As for the Elite 1/18 KARR, I better start saving up for that one next!

Yeah the voicebox gimmick needs to be something pretty amazing for me to part with $341. That's actually why I highlighted it in red, like WTH?

Thanks for the information :)
Oh man, $340 for 1/43 sounds quite a lot, would be a lot for 1/18 model too. I'll be happy to get the regular version of 1/43 KITT and KARR. If I win the lotto, then I'll buy the voicebox version :D

For the record, I've never seen a 1/43 model go for that price unless it was really a rare limited item. Its probably an error by Hot Wheels... Cause that price is just ridiculous, period.

EE apparently had a typo (I simply copied and pasted here) because today it reads 1:18 rather then 1:43.

For $340 I'd want a proper sized voice box.

Hahaha.. If it is indeed 1/18 scale, diecast metal and with talking features in addition to the red LED scanner, I still think its a bit too much to pay... Abt $200 more for a talking feature? Hmmm.. Unless it comes with a 1/1 scale voicebox or a tiny 1/18 scale voicebox in the dashboard that actually animates the voice modulator, I think thats too much to pay...

Well, 1/8/2013 and it still isn't available yet. I wonder what the big delay is.

Hot Wheels Elite sent us over a dozen images of both the 1:18 and the 1:43 model, including the packaging - check them out:
http://knightrideronline.com/news/2013/ ... nd_143.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They say this is of the final model, so what you see is what we will get. They also confirm that both models will be available in the beginning of February.
