To celebrate the 30th anniversary, David Bronstein and I are co-authoring a new book, scheduled for release in Summer, 2012. This book will feature all new material and interviews with the faces you see in the picture above, plus many more! Our goal is to provide a behind the scenes interview for each episode made, and we are almost there!

This book will also feature never before published, never before seen photos from the personal collections of the cast and crew who were there.

More details to come over the coming months. Stay tuned!

Joe

This sounds good. Out of all the interviews, the one with Peter Richman will be the one that I am most looking forward to reading! Not that he'll mention these people but he's worked with such legends as Bruce Lee and has been in many famous series and movies.

I can't wait to get your book and read it Joe.Put me down for a copy.Any chance you got an interview with Peter Parros?I've read so many interviews from the last 2 books published but wondered what he had to say at knightcon or about his experiences on the final season.

We are hoping to get Peter, but nothing yet...stay tuned!

We've got a lot of really great stories. A few teasers:

- Find out which KR guest star also tried out for the voice of KITT
- Learn the behind the scenes story behind the special episode dedication at the end of "Race for Life"
- Find out how writing the script for "Deadly Maneuvers" ended a long friendship
- Find out more details behind the modifications done to the cars and how the ejection seat really worked
- Learn how difficult it really was to set up the Camaro jump in "The Nineteenth Hole"

...and that's only the beginning. 8)

Thank you Skav for that clip.I have never seen a Q and A with the cast of knight rider and I only saw the clip on this site of David,Mike,Peter and Rebecca on the catwalk.Thank you very much MJKnight for putting that clip up.I read about the tan problem where they had to do something to compensate for the Hoff's tan and they always ended up getting makeup for that.I never knew Rebecca's first scene was that beach scene where she was in that tied bottom shirt in Return to Cadiz at the end of the episode.I would have liked to have heard Peter mention something about the KnightSong episode where he went back to his old neighberhood and made a difference there and is the only real episode focusing on Peter.Wish he would have said something like it was his favorite episode.Great clip though.

Joe I'm going to need you to charge me for the book now just to put me at ease to know mines reserved.

Also hope to get an autographed copy but i guess the time to ask for that will come when the book comes out.

Hi everyone!

This is David Bronstein,
Just wanted to say a quick hello and that I am very excited about this book
with Joe Huth. Joe has been fantastic to work with and we have encouraged each other
to make this the best possible book we can on the greatest program of all time.

We have many interviews spread over a few hundred pages, with more to come.
Coupled together with Joe's expertise on the show, this is a book written by the fans for the fans- cliche I know, but the bottom line is putting out a book
that you will hopefully all love.

It continues to be a pleasure to work on this book in time to say
a 30th Happy Birthday to Knight Rider! See you all soon.

I don't want to give away all the secrets! But I will tell you this...

The book's format will be different than Knight Rider Legacy. In Legacy, I had regular chapters and then an episode guide. This new book is basically the story of Knight Rider, told episode by episode. So, It will be similar to a giant episode guide, with many pages and interviews per episode. Current page count is around 300, but that's just text - we still need to add in a ton of photos and some more interviews. We tried to not repeat information from previous books where we could, but a little bit is just so things make sense.

So i thought 1 book was a suprise. Then a second knight rider book came out and now a THIRD! 3 books on one tv series! Boy, you spoil us you people! I do have a couple of questions:

1) I have read the knight rider legacy and the knight rider companion books to death, and both are excellent reads :D
Will this book have different content to both of them books?

2) How much will the book cost roughly when it will be released? Any targets?

3) Will the book be based just off the original series (which i will not complain about at all!) or will it have elements off KR2000, TKR and KR2008?

4) Im guessing it will be in colour?

5) Similar size to KRLegacy or will it be bigger?

6) Any ideas for a name for the book, or do you want some ideas from us fans?

Sorry if i am overloading with questions, really excited! THe knight rider universe has been a bit quiet lately, so this is exciting :)

To answer your questions...

1) The content of the new book is approximately 95% new. As I mentioned, the format for this book is closer to a huge episode guide with many paragraphs per episode with the cast/crew reflections. I didn't see a need to rehash the first book, but some information needed to be repeated.

2. We don't have a target price yet, but it will be under $50 for sure, probably less than that.

3. The book really is for the 30th anniversary of the original show - as such, it will only focus on the original series.

4. This is still up in the air. We need to see the cost of printing in color. It's even possible that we offer both B&W and color versions, with different price points.

5. The book will be roughly 6x9, making it the same size as Legacy. As far as thickness, we are still adding content so we don't know.

6. We have a couple ideas for the new book, all focusing around the 30th anniversary theme. Stay tuned :)

Thanks for your interest!
Joe
