Not sure if this is the correct place to post it but as it borders replica-building so it's kind of 'creative', yes?
Anyway, I just bought a set of 15" Turbocast wheels for my Trans Am and I was wondering what profile tires to wrap around them. What was the original tiresize for 82-83 Trans Am with Turbocasts? What have you guys used for your replicas?
I have a set of winter-tires on a Camaro 15" wheels and I recall they were 195/75R15 and they lowered the ground clearance so much it A) looked weird B) scraped the bottom into every ramp I drove. Only used them once while the car was storaged for winter.
I have been looking at 235/70R15 since narrower tires make for better steering. I have been told the originals were something like 245/65R15, but haven't found that size.

original TAs had 215/65r 15 tires. A lot of guys use a 235/60r15.
