Does anyone know if the "Night Rider" scanners are any good? I mean are they worth buying as far as quality and authenticity?
Thanks

I own the red one. They are....decent. But are really horrible knockoffs. You get what you pay for. The plastic switch to turn the scanner on/off breaks easy.

Thanks, I didn't know anything about this product. I don't want to purchase anything that is a piece of junk.
So, now I guess the question is, does anyone know where I can purchase a good scanner?
Thanks,
:kitt:

Nice Firebird!!! Taoworm makes the scanners for the Mustangs. There's a post on here somewhere that has a list of people and what they make, just can't remember where it is. Also, more pic's of the bird........

Honestly, when I posted this I was looking for a temporary scanner, one I could use until I got the other materials I needed to make my car into KITT. When I do eventually, create my own KITT, I want a scanner that looks authentic and if possible, makes the scanner noise. Again, thanks for your help.

Also, if anyone knows where I can get any other materials for KITT (as of now I don't have anything) I would appreciate the help.
Thanks!

Hi! I don´t know this "night rider " scanner... but, I can say what I sell is great!!!

This is my 1993 Firebird with KITT´s scanner, no neccessary change in the car to be installed.

The scanner has the old ( K2000 ) and new ( K3000 ) effect, between a lot of others you can choose.

See video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfaYVQJHgY4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It´s full operated by wireless control. You can choose different colors, effects, speed and turn on/off.

I hope you enjoy it...

Thanks!

Most replica owners start off with a JC Whitney Knight Rider scanner bar. (I did)
It looks the most accurate for the money your spending.
Heres a link: http://www.jcwhitney.com/flashing-light ... ilterid=j5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Heres a video of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wo_AjEdV ... re=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and in the car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIoIMqzmT5I" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I bought the JC Whitney scanner but, I plan to upgrade to a better one when I can. Right now its not on my Firebird because, I wanted to wait until after I got KITT's front bumper, then the entire car will have to be painted (its red).

Indeed , it is! :good: I like some of the modes you incoperated to your scanner. I as thinking, what if the new movie KITT could do some multi-sprectral scanning as IR, UV, VIS and other methodes of "seeing" like Terahertz wave and being shown as a change in colors.

I like the classic mode from the start and the colors blue @ 0:12 and purpule @ 0:23. The modes @ 0:56, @ 1:15, KITT's famous police mode @ 1:34, @ 2:31, @ 2:34, pulse mode @ 2:44, the slightly different classic @ 2:52, @ 3:00, slow classic @ 3:24, faster than slow classic @ 3:30 as well as the speed up to 3:46.

Lectric Enterprises has the definitive scanner with sound. He has both Halogen and LED scanners. I personally prefer the Halogen, which is what I put on my car.

That's so funny! My first "KITT" was an 86 Firebird, and it looked JUST like that!

Here's a semi-before and after...

Have fun, and don't go too cheap on your parts, or this will be YOUR "first" KITT as well!

PS, Brennon @ Lectric Enterprises makes the best scanner, to second what Corlando52 said. I had a JC Whitney on mine at first (as usual), then I went with a Bill Meyers scanner, which was also crap.
