I watched to premiere of “The Cape” on NBC last night and thought the same thing. I mean if they’re going to use Knight Rider’s tag line at least include a cameo of KITT.

I was on the eliptical machine and when I heard the official mission from the pilot,It threw me off the machine and I stopped.I knew every single super heroes main responsability is to make a difference in the world they live in.To stop injustice wherever it may rear its ugly head. After all,all that evil requires to succeed is for good men to do nothing.I'm just happy to learn that this proves Michael Knight was a super hero. His cape,a black leather jacket.

Does anyone think the Cape also borrowed from Dark Angel? I almost see Logan Cale behind the video stream and waiting for them to say " Do not attempt to adjust your set"

Well, in tone 'The Cape' was more Knight Rider than the 2008 TV show. Since both shows are/were produced by NBC, i don't understand why they went a completely different route with KR2008 (i.e. ensemble cast, gouvernment santioned team etc.) while creating a new show that is in spirit so close to what KR2008 should and could have been.
To me this is just further proof that NBC simply don't get it! :x

NBC has taught me to not like ANY new show they put out. You get hooked then they pull the plug.

The statement that one man can make a difference came before KR, so it's not just tied to any one
tv show, but should rather be a way that we live our lives, to make a difference.
