Team Knight Rider Goodie for my fellow Knights.

Sorry they're such low-res and bad lighting. it's damn near impossible to photograph on this glossy paper.

But here's the proposed packaging/merchandising program from Team Knight Rider. As seen in my style guide. As well an image of the style guide itself.

I know some of you may not like Team Knight Rider very much. But to me it's amazing. I could probably do better pictures on request, this is only the stuff that's not on the CD's.

This looks to be packaging prototype designs for TKR. There's packaging for toys, t-shirt designs, watches, etc... I can only imagine that once it was decided that TKR wasn't going to be the hit expected, everything was dumped.

Judging by those samples, TKR definitely had an abundance of unfulfilled potential. It’s a real shame that the designs were never put into production, since they were snazzy enough to have appealed to the kids that could have benefited from a successful show in the same way we did.

To be honest I found it on ebay. I contacted the seller and asked him to remove it form auction and I'd pay him more later on then the auction was listed for. but I didn't have money at the time. The seller responded by sending it to me, explaining how he got it (estate sale). Said it belonged to Rick Copp. He let me pay him back by doing some promotion for a music video he was in.

And yeah TKR had some SERIOUSLY awesome licencing potential. It would even have become better in it's second season. It's of irony that it was competing with Power Rangers, which was HUGE at the time. So it didn't do so well in the markets it was aimed at.

Plato and Kat's first bodies were actually bodykits modified atop the bodykits already installed on two Power Rangers bikes. Their second bodies were straight up CBR XX bikes.

So much untapped potential. But thankfully I have the CD's. so all the vectors and extremely high-res (even by today's standards!) bitmaps are triple-backed-up on Solid state devices and even in an online backup just in case. Furthermore I managed to download the high-res .flv files of TKR from Hulu last year. I'm working on making a studio-grade DVD set. I can't sell it or anything (Or can I? i'm sure that'd be infringement) but I can share it with contributors once I finish it. If anyone has any TKR stuff that they think may help me (Or wants to lavish a gift of the Hot Wheels cars on me) I'd appreciate it. And add you to the list. :-p I'm mostly looking to find commercials, even if they're just old promotionals recorded off your TV set on VHS. I'm also looking for the 4-week ending credits promotional sweepstakes they ran.

EDIT: Also, alternate-language copies of the series would work out. I'm going all out on this project.

Actually, the Hot Wheels toys use the vectors and bitmaps from the style guide in their design, albeit differently from the proposed look in the guide. But since there were no VHS releases or anything, that's about all that ever got released. I don't know how many copies of this guide actually exist. My discs are pressed (NOT burned) so there may be more, or it may have been a one-off. It's entirely possible the Hot Wheels cars use vectors copied straight off of my CD's.

I still have all of the TKR episodes that I recorded on VHS back when it was originally on. I have all the episode promos, the sweepstakes commercials as well as a demo reel with about 15 series commercials on it. I keep meaning to digitize them all, just haven't had the time.

I can do it Joe. I think I have the demo reel you speak of actually. About Knight Rider Legacy. does it still have all the TKR information in it? I saw on the Amazon preview some stuff I hadn't seen anywhere else. I'd love to find out whatever you've tracked down on KR2010/TKR. I'd love to collaborate with you in private.

Ifthey had. I imagine this image would have featured prominently in some of them. Perhaps Domino's Hot Wheels card?

Toss a logo on it and it'd make a wonderful poster.

Sure. I wonder if you have recordings of TKR in German? Or any non-english languages? Or any sort of promotionals America never saw?

I have also heard that information because one of my friends that work in a Toy world is also a Hot Wheels toy fanatics like us. Anyway ironic to its name Hot Wheels is really cool, I can stop collecting new items whenever its payday. Even my son likes to collect it, and I am happy he has collection of his own too.
